Bookworm: The Lovely Bones By Alice Sebold

While you are reading this I am most probably in London.
I won a competition back in July last year where I won the Gu Puds
10th Birthday competition.
So as part of my prize I am away at the Gu Puds factory and then spending
a night away in a lovely 4* hotel.
I will hopefully know on Friday when the pudding will hit the shelves and I do
hope you will all give my pudding a try.

Onto the recent book I've been reading
The Lovely Bones by Alice Sebold which is now definitely within my top 5
favourite books of all time.

Susie Salmon is speaking from heaven which looks a lot like her school playground.
Everything Susie wants appears just as she thinks of it- except the one thing she wants most;
to be back with the people she loved on earth.

Watching from her place in heaven Susie sees her happy, suburban family devastated by her murder, isolated
from one another as they try to cope with their loss alone.
Over the years  Susie sees her friends and siblings grow up, fall in love, and do all things she never got a chance to do. But life hasn't quite finished with Susie just yet.....

I'm not going to give anything away in case you haven't read it but it is one amazing book
I am sure I'll be reading again at some point.

  1. I've watched the film and really loved it, I recommend that completely. I'm not sure if it's close to the book or not as I've not read it, but it's on my huge list to read at the moment x
