Christmas Abroad My Dream Holiday

After we visited Cape Verde last year it made me realise how much I would love to visit different places all over the world. If we had the means to do so we would definitely travel a lot more. With Christmas coming up I've been thinking of places I'd love to spend Christmas if I had the chance to do so.

If I was to spend Christmas abroad I'd definitely choose somewhere warm. I decided to check out Destination2 to see what places they have to offer and there are so many wonderful destinations from places like Thailand to Greece. But for me I'd love to spend Christmas in the Caribbean and one place I'd love to visit and there are many is Cuba.

Cuba is on my bucket list of places I'd love to visit and why not at Christmas time? After all as much as I love the whole festive season here in the UK sometimes the cold can be a bit too much and I need to feel the sea and sun on my bones.

I love the idea of waking up on Christmas morning and being blessed at being able to go for morning stroll on one of their fantastic beaches to start the day. There would be no pressure when it came to Christmas dinner as we would choose to go All Inclusive. Instead of lounging in front of the TV after Christmas dinner we'd be laying in the sun reading a book and sipping on a rum cocktail instead of a glass of rose.

Then instead of wrapping up in warm coats and boots to go for a Christmas day walk we  would be in our swimming gear enjoying doing laps in the pool or in the clear blue waters of the Caribbean sea. Instead of playing games with my family we would be having fun in the swimming pool or building sandcastles. In the evening when Blake is in bed Stuart and I would make the most of the time, just the two of us enjoying a cocktail or two, putting the world to rights or watching the entertainment from our hotel room's balcony.

We could even spend the festive period exploring, doing activities that are provided at the hotel or going on an excursion as I'd certainly want to make the most of the time there.

If you had the chance to spend Christmas abroad where would you love to spend the holidays?
