The Mummy Tag

There is currently a tag doing its rounds that I decided I wanted to do. I don't tend to do tags that often if at all really but this one I wanted to be involved in. The Mummy Tag.

1. Are you a Stay at Home Mum, or a Working Mum?
I am a Stay at home mum

2. Would you have it any other way?
I love staying at home with Blake and being able to see him reach his milestones. I do however miss being around other adults that aren't just my mummy friends or my family.

3. Do you co-sleep?
No it's not for us, Blake slept in his moses basket right next to me until he moved into his cot at 6 months old.

4. What is your one must-have item for your baby?
Other than essentials like nappies. A must have for us was definitely a bouncer it was great as I could do a couple of things around the home.

5. How many kids do you plan on having?
It's still undecided on my part if we will have another child. I know Stuart would like another so if we do it will be just one more.  So 2 is maximum.

6. Date night? How many nights per month?
Not very often we are lucky to have family nearby but we prefer to stay in and watch a film than go out anyway.

7. Your childs favourite show?
In the night garden. Blake's favorite character is Iggle Piggle and we are going to In the night garden live next month which will be exciting.

8. Name one thing you bought before you had your baby and never ended up using?
When buying things for Blake we tried to make sure we got things that were essential.  The only thing I can think off the top of my head we got but didn't use was a bottle warmer.

9. Your child’s favourite food?
Blake is extremely fussy his favorite fruit is grapes and he could eat them all day.
Meal wise his favorite is fish pie.

10. How many cars does your family have?
None. I can't drive because of having epilepsy and Stuart would love to drive but lessons are too expensive.

11. Weight gain before pregnancy, during and after and now?
Before pregnancy I lost 6 stone so I could fall pregnant.
I then gained about 3 stone during pregnancy, lost a stone after pregnancy and right now
I weigh about the same as I did during pregnancy ( I blame the cake at Mummy meet ups and classes). I'd like to loose 3 stone maybe a bit more though.

12. Dream holiday with your kids?
Like most parents it would have to be Disney World Florida. I never went as child and really would have loved to have gone.  It would be great if we are able to go with our little family in the future.

13. Dream holiday without your kids?
This is a tough question. I would love to go to so many different places I'm going to pick the Maldives as its a place I've wanted to go for ages.

14. How has your life changed since your baby has been born?
It has changed for the better I am so much more happier and everything I do is for Blake.
He is my world and sometimes I miss my sleep but he is more than worth it.

15. Finish the sentence: 'It makes my heart melt to see … '
Blake first thing in the morning when he gives you a big grin and gives you the biggest hugs.

16. Where do you shop for your kids?
I mainly buy second hand from Ebay. I like brands such as Next, H&M, Tesco.
When I do buy new my go to place is H&M  as I find there sizing is much better fit on Blake than most other shops. I do also pick up bits from Tesco if we need something.

17. Favourite makeup and skincare products?
Currently I don't own any high end products. I do love Mac foundation and would love to have  Urban Decay Eyeshadow pallets. My high street favorites are: Maybelline Lash sensational waterproof mascara and the collection lasting perfection concealer in fair.
I tend to change my foundation regularly and the same with my eye shadows and lip products so don't have a set favorite for them.

18. Huggies or Pampers?
We prefer Cloth nappies or the Aldi Mamia range when using disposables.

19. Have you always wanted kids?
Yes I love children and use to work as a nursery assistant. I always knew I wanted at least one child.

20. Best part about being a mum?
Everything, even the bad moments.

I'm tagging anyone who would love to join in.

  1. We prefer cloth too, or Aldi when we need sposies and also wasted money on a bottle warmer. Great tag, love getting to known bloggers a bit more.

  2. This was fascinating to read and as someone who has no children but was brought up by a mother who only used cloth nappies for each of the 4 of us, disposables are still quite alien to me x

  16. A lot of your answers are pretty similar to when I had my boy. Especially with only buying essentials, I refused to waste money on silly products I didn't need! x

  25. A lot of things change when you become a mum I am told, I think the Maldives or Disney would make a great place to holiday.
