2020 READING CHALLENGE | WHAT I'VE READ IN NOVEMBER

I'm a bit early this month with my monthly reads as I'm involved in a book tour this week so had to change my schedule a bit. I've read a total of 4 books this month which isn't too bad considering I've spent quite a bit of my free time binge watching some stuff on Netflix and listening to episodes of a podcast.

Big Sky by Kate Atkinson

I picked this up for the prompt a book with a bird on the front cover. I'm not sure if it's because I've not read the other books in the series but I did find it hard to get into. It wasn't as gripping as I was hoping either.

To Kill a Kingdom by Alexandra Christo
Picked for the prompt a book with a made up language. I absolutely loved this book. It's a dark retelling of the little mermaid but instead of being a mermaid the character is a siren. It features the made up language of Psariin and is a Young Adult fantasy.

The Beekeeper of Aleppo by Christy Lefteri
What a beautiful book telling the story of a beekeeper and his wife's journey from escaping Syria to managing to get to England. I picked this for the prompt A book with a character who has a vision impairment/enchantment. The Character Afra in this book is blind.

Letters from the Dead By Sam Hurcom
A full review for the book tour will be shared on Friday. This is Sam's follow up novel after his debut A Shadow In The Lens which I really enjoyed. If you are into crime/thrillers I'd definitely check out his books.
