DINO ESCAPE WEEK WITH WONDER ADVENTURES

This week Blake and I have been joining in with the Dino Escape Week run by Wonder Adventures.

Wonder Adventures is run by Family Nurse; wife and husband, Helen and Brett Nurse, ably assisted and all events fully tested by George, Daisy and Charlie.

Dino Escape Week couldn't have come at a better time with lockdown and quite alot of parents having to homeschool. It can be hard coming up with fun things to do with your children whilst staying home. We maybe lucky that Blake is still in school but as he is always on the go, it was great to have something fun for him to do once home from school.

Dino Escape Week was a great event for children who love dinosaurs. With 4 live interactive sessions Monday-Thursday hosted by Ranger Ron there were 2 treasure hunt events and 2 interactive activity sessions. 

The event is suitable for children aged 3-10 years. Younger children will most likely need extra support whilst older children can be more independent.

Each day at 5:30pm for 45 to 60 minutes Ranger Ron delivered lots of roaring fun including:

- 2 treasure hunts to do around the home. Parents can print off or draw clues to hide around the home before the live events started.

- Travel through the time tunnel to spot what dinosaurs you can find.

- learn Ranger Ron's dinosaur song and the dino rap 

- Interactive quizzes such as dino in disguise 

- lots of puzzles, games and resources for making and creating.

All of this is for £20 for one household. The live videos can also be watched on catch up just in case you are unable to make the time slot. There is also a private Facebook community for sharing the fun with other families.

We enjoyed how interactive the experience was. One thing I have to say though is that it is a good idea to have a printer. We unfortunately missed out on some of the activities since we were unable to print them out in time, such as the dinosaur mask and puzzles. 

Some of the activities though are able to be done by drawing out dinosaurs and other activities onto paper yourself. I'd advise giving yourself plenty of time to do this. 

Some activities we were able to do via a tablet or phone such as the dot to dot activity above, the crossword and the spot the difference game.

Blake's favourite part of the event was the dinosaur song and dino rap. Another fun activity he really enjoyed was the dino catcher. We actually made ours out of a paper plate.

Overall it was a great event which we really enjoyed. There is a space themed week coming up in February which I am sure is going to be as just as exciting.
