*Although free to do some of the days out may require transport and food/drink costs.
1. Find free museums and art galleries local to you.
2. Head to a local splash park (don't forget swimming costumes and spare clothing.)
3. Take a camera or use the camera on your phone and go for a walk capturing your local area.
4. Visit your local library, most have a variety of activities on over the summer. They also do reading challenges which I remember doing myself as a child.
5. Create/ download a scavenger hunt. If you don't have time to create one yourself than there are loads of places to find ones you can download and print off.
6. Go foraging make sure you have a guide on what's safe to pick. I remember picking blackberries as a kid.
7. Grab a ball, frisbee, bat and ball etc and head to your local park. If you are wanting to find a new park than the Playground buddy app will be useful.
8. Go for a walk and feed the ducks this is always a hit.
9. Go on a bike ride.
10. Go to the beach
Make sandcastles, collect shells, skim pebbles etc
11. Go for a walk around the woods/local country Park
12. Have a go at Geocoaching
13. Free walking tours are available across the UK
14. Similar to walking tours are trails. We've done a few were you have to find certain things along a walking route.
15. Keep an eye out for any free community activities that are on.
