REVIEW | HOST YOUR OWN FAMILY QUIZ NIGHT

Ad – review. I was sent the Host Your Own Family Quiz Night game for review purposes and all thoughts are my own.

Thanks to Cheatwell games, it's time to get the family together and get away from screens with the Host Your Own Family Quiz Night board game. The game is suitable for ages 8 years and over and a minimum of 2 players. You can play either individually or in teams. It's an all-inclusive quiz game that allows everyone to join in the fun!

The game comes with a playing board, 8 decks of question cards, 6 playing counters, a die and instructions. The objective of the game is to be the first player or team to reach the Finish square to win the game.

The 8 decks of question cards are the following topics: movies, history, pot luck, music, TV, people, science & nature and geography. Each card contains a multiple-choice question for younger players and a more challenging question for adults. There are 1200 questions overall.

To play the game, place everyone’s playing pieces on the Start square to begin. The youngest player always starts first. Each player takes turns to roll the die and answer questions from the categories shown where they landed on the board. If they answer correctly, they will roll the die again and move to the next square. If they answer incorrectly, they will remain where they are and their turn is over.

We've had lots of fun with the game and it's surprising how challenging it can be. I definitely struggle with the geography questions the most.  It's a great game to get out on a rainy day, during the school holidays or when you fancy some screen free time together.

The Cheatwell Family Quiz Night costs £25 from TheToyShop.com
