LIKES & LOVES| OCTOBER 2023

There is no denying that October has been far to stressful for us this year. We seem to be going through a bout of bad luck including having to replace the whole roof on our house. Despite this I've managed to find some things that I've liked and loved this month.

Netflix

Burning Body

When a police officer is murdered and set on fire, all eyes focus on two other agents; his girlfriend and her lover. Inspired by true events.

Nightbooks (film)

Scary story fan Alex must tell a spine-tingling tale every night, or stay trapped with his new friend in a wicked witch's magical apartment forever.

Haunting of Margam Castle

A team of American parapsychologists travels to Wales to conduct a study of Margam Castle, one of the UK's most haunted buildings.

Last night in Soho (film)

Eloise, an aspiring fashion designer, is fascinated with the fashion of the '60s. But her life spirals out of control when she dreams of being transported back to that time period.

The Devil on trial

The Devil on Trial explores the first — and only — time “demonic possession” has officially been used as a defense in a US murder trial.

Talk to me (film)

When a group of friends discover how to conjure spirits with an embalmed hand, they become hooked on the new thrill and high-stakes party game -- until one of them goes too far and unleashes terrifying supernatural forces.

Bodies

Four detectives. Four timelines. One body. To save Britain's future, they'll need to solve the murder that altered the course of history first.

Pumpkin picking
We headed out to Hall farm park during half term for our annual pumpkin picking trip. It was a bit muddy but we enjoyed it as usual.

Halloween wreath
I've purchased quite a few bits from Temu recently mainly stocking fillers. However I love this Halloween wreath that I saw. I was on the look for one and this reasonably priced compared to ones I've seen on the high street.

Good morning glass mug
Another Temu item I've loved is this Good Morning glass mug. It's a great size for doing overnight oats in.

High protein chocolate puddings
I'm loving these high protein chocolate puddings that you can get from Aldi or Lidil. They are low in sugar too which is great for me due to my diabetes.

Screw Caddy
Screw Caddy is a device which ensures all screws are inserted perfectly every time just like a professional, no more deflecting screws, screws going in at an angle causing damage to the surface. Screw Caddy also offers better protection to the operator as their fingers are no longer touching the rotating Screw during insertion. Screw Caddy is also  beneficial to individuals who have reduced mobility in their fingers again allowing them the potential to perfectly insert screws. Stuart has been doing a fair bit of DIY around the house recently and the Screw Caddy has come in very handy.
