LIFE UPDATE/ ROUND UP: APRIL 2025

We are a third of the way into the year now which is mad. The Easter holidays was much needed for B, as he was more than ready for a break. We spent the Easter weekend visiting family and the rest of the month has been enjoying the slow and simple days.

What we've been up to

- I headed to the first book group I've ever been to. It's once a month and this month's book  discussion was Orbital. They do a dessert based on the theme around the book and so we had an intergalactic cheesecake. I've already got my place booked for May's event.

- We headed to our local library and B wanted to join in with the lego session one Saturday.

- We headed to Lincoln to do some shopping. B was in his element choosing Minecraft clothing in Primark.

- We had a walk along the river

- We also went to various parks both in our home town and nearby areas.

- Whilst visiting family we headed to the nearby country park.

- B enjoyed decorating some gingerbread Easter biscuits.

Things I've watched and read

Watched

- Six the musical live - I went on a solo date to our local cinema to watch the film version of the live show.

- Paddington in Peru came out on Netflix so that was a family movie sorted.

- Season 7 of Black Mirror (Netflix)

-  The Residence (Netflix)

- Orbital by Samantha Harvey

Other things

- We got B a LNER Azuma block set (bit like lego) as an Easter gift and he is obsessed.

- We celebrated Autism Awareness Day on the 2nd.

- We enjoyed lots of Easter treats.

- I've enjoyed spotting the blossom out and been snapping various photos.

- Stuart and I have been playing 5 second rule uncensored.

- Stuart and I tried the new big daddy pistachio chocolate from M&S which is so good.

- I tried the new vanilla lavender whipped iced latte from Costa.

- I've noticed a change in my skin so have started using the new Give Me Cosmetics Azelaic Acid Cream which is brilliant and I've noticed a difference in under a week of using it.
