In my life, the mountain between us and sandals #LittleLoves

This week hasn't been very exciting in all fairness . My tablet decided to break which meant forking out for a new one but also I spent less time online which meant I got more reading done. This week has also seen me feeling very nostalgic especially as Wednesday was 9 years since my Dad passed away. I''ve found myself looking at a few old photos and remembering the good times we had as a family.

Read
This week I've read one book within a few days and am also half way through another.
A gathering light by Jennifer Donnelly is an easy read. Based on a real murder at the turn of the century this a moving novel. Although not like the type of thrillers/crime stories I love to read I did enjoy this book.

I'm  currently reading Close to home by Cara Hunter and hope to have finished by the end of the weekend. Close to home is definitely more my kind of read and I'm excited to finish this book as I'm really enjoying the story. I won't go into too much detail but the story is about eight year old Daisy Mason who has disappeared.

Watched
Netflix wise I've binge watched the first season of On my block which popped up as a recommendation and I've actually enjoyed it. On My Block" follows a quartet of bright, street-savvy friends who are navigating their way through high school, including all the of the triumph, pain and newness they experience along the way.

I also got around to watching The Mountain Between Us Stranded on a mountain after a tragic plane crash, two strangers must work together to endure the extreme elements of the remote, snow-covered terrain. Realizing that help is not on the way, they embark on a perilous journey across hundreds of miles of wilderness, pushing each other to survive and discovering their inner strength. I really loved this film which stars Kate Winslet and Idris Elba as the main characters.

Heard

I've being playing In My Life by The Beatles this week. It was one of the songs at my Dad's funeral but also I do love The Beatles and also been listening to Let it be.

Made

Nothing to see here
Wore
New sandles at the beginning of the week anyway as the Sun decided to disappear again. I picked these up in peacocks and they are really comfy so have ordered another pair in white online as they of course didn't have my size in store typically.

And lastly...

With little loves moving on to being a monthly rather than weekly linky.  I'm looking forward to sharing what we get up to in May as we actually have some exciting stuff planned.
