Christmas with Wicked Uncle

With it being just over 6 weeks until Christmas Eve I thought it was time to start getting my Christmas posts up. I'm excited about sharing with you my gift guides, Christmas eve essentials and many other festive posts between now and the big day.

First of all I wanted to share with you all, two gift ideas from one of my favourite places to find kids toys online Wicked Uncle. You would have most likely seen that I have collaborated with Wicked Uncle a fair few times now showing you some of their fab selection of toys that they sell for all ages.

Having browsed the website quite a bit and thanks to the easy navigation of the website I managed to find some bits for Blake to share with you to give you some inspiration.

Blake starts school next September which doesn't seem at all possible as he still seems so little. However I think its important to try our best to prepare him in advance in some ways, as best as possible. The pretend and play school set from learning resources (£29.95), is hopefully one way to get him interested through role play. The set also helps to develop early speech and language skills along with letter and number recognition.

The set folds up into a  handy case so won't take up too much space like a lot of toys tend to do. Inside the set you get over 140 pieces to play being a teacher so you can mark books, give out stickers and ring the bell. There is a handy map of the UK and Europe, calander, whiteboard, school clock and much more.

As children both my sister and I would have loved this set, although there were a good few arguments over who was going to be teacher.

The fairy garden range of products by interplay are popular at the moment and so my next pick was the Magic Bean Pot (£7.99).  The magic bean pot is a great gift for children who are into gardening and plants as well as the Magic of fairies. It's easy to grow two magic beans with Joy the fairy and her friend yellow bird. All you need to do is collect some soil (not included) and sow your magic bean in the pot using your magical fairy spade. Once done watch over 3 weeks at how nature works. Once the bean grows it opens and appears on a stalk as it produces flowers and then eventually its own beans.

We love its small size so that it can sit in pride of place on one of our window sills or mantel piece. This is an ideal little set if you don't have a garden and want to bring a bit of nature indoors.

If you are still a little stuck for ideas than look out for my gift guide for kids , which should hopefully be up within the next few days or so. You can also look back on my previous years gift guides too and of course check out more of what fun products wicked uncle sell.
