LITTLE MOMENTS | HALF TERM | 8/52

I'm not at all sure where the half term week decided to go. It's flown by unlike the weeks when Blake is in school. Despite not being able to do much due to lockdown i think Blake still managed to enjoy himself. So here is a little round up on some of our favourite things we got up to.

Tuesday was pancake day so we all had some for dessert Blake had sugar on his, Stuart had the traditional sugar and lemon and i decided to try biscoff pancakes inspired by Pinch of Nom.

We have a membership to a local parents of autistic children's group that had a virtual event running this week so that kids could see and learn about sheep and alpacas. They also sent activity packs out for the kids to enjoy some crafty farm fun. You can see Blake's makes below.

I made sure that we got outside and one of our favourite places to go for a walk is along the river. This is ideal when the weather is good as its only a short walk along the riverside that we do. There is an area that has seating and a small grass area to play on. I'm hoping to put a picnic together in the summer and head there.

I love the view and they have a monument that hasn't been there long now. It's of  a Pilgrim Woman highlighting the many untold stories of the women on the Mayflower. She stands on the waters-edge on the River Trent in Gainsborough were some of the separatists were believed to have escaped to Amsterdam in 1608.

We have also watched a few films together the past week including Peter Rabbit which Blake is now really getting into. He also likes the cartoon version that is on Netflix.

What did you get up to during half term?
