Rearrange your furniture
One of the simplest and no cost ways is to move things around. It's a great way to refresh and make you feel like you have a brand new room. It's something that I love to do with smaller bits of furniture but if you have space to move larger furniture items such as sofas and beds then go for it! My childhood bedroom didn't have much space to move furniture around but I loved rearranging my shelves instead.
Replace hardware
It really is amazing what new hardware can do to change the look of your home. Some ideas include changing door handles/knobs, draw pulls, hooks, curtain poles, toilet seats and more.
Change light fittings
When was the last time you replaced your lampshade or pendant? I bet you can't remember. We recently got new pendant lights to go up in our bedroom and I'm sure it's going to make a huge difference to the room. We have opted for a vintage style one in a pale grey.
A lick of paint
A fresh lick of paint really can transform the look of a room. Whether you opt to paint just one feature wall, or a full room, you’ll be surprised the difference it will make.
Buy a new Rug/throw/cushions
Decor pieces such as rugs, throws and cushions really make a big difference and you don't have to spend a fortune either. Throws and cushions can be changed up easily depending on the season and your mood. If you feel your home is feeling dull than just add ones in a bright colour. Rugs are great for adding a splash of colour to a room but not just that they also add extra warmth to the home ideal for winter.
Upcycle furniture
Grown tierd of your shelves, tables, TV unit or side table? Instead of buying new it's time to Upcycle. You can purchase different types of paint such as chalk paint or spray paint. Pinterest is a great place for finding ways to upcycle furniture.
