Half term week has been a busy week for us as we had Stuart's Mum and her husband up to visit for a few days and had quite a few days out. Even though its been busy we did have fun and made lovely memories.
Monday
Blake mainly had free time and a few friends pop round for a bit. My in laws arrived around 4pm and we ended up getting in some pizzas for tea.
Tuesday
We headed to Messingham Zoo which I wrote about here. If you are ever in the area its definitely a lovely little place to pass a few hours and see some animals. That evening we had a fish and chippy tea at a local place where their restaurant had reopened as they had kept close since March 2020 and only had their takeaway bit open until now.
We headed to Hartsholm Country Park as they had a Halloween trail event on. The trail was lots of fun and took us a good hour or so to do. It took us round the lake there and we got to see more of the country park as we haven't had a chance to visit properly before. Blake loved spotting the bits in the trees and it was a lovely walk for us all to do together. Once we had finished the trail and handed the form in Blake got a sharing bag of chocolate buttons.
We had another brilliant day this time at Hall Farm Park we definitely want to go again as the price was great for the amount you can see and do there. We got to see a good range of animals, go pumpkin picking and Blake enjoyed soft play. There was lots to do there, that we didn't get round to doing. It was a very windy day so Blake did struggling being outside so next time we go will have to be when the weather is nicer.
Friday
Friday we had a rest day as the in laws had gone home and we just needed that time to relax before the busyness of the weekend.
There was a local Halloween festival on which unfortunately turned out to be pretty rubbish. We had originally had thought about not going due to the weather. However it soon brightened up but unfortunately the event turned out to not be worth it.
Sunday
Blake had a friend over and we watched Halloween films and she stayed over for tea. We then went trick or treating with some of Blake's other friends. Although he was reluctant to dress up he did however love joining in.
