October has been a good month for us we've not actually been out and about much but Novemer onwards is going to be pretty busy for us. Anyway here are the things we have enjoyed this month.

Disney plus

Hocus pocus 2

The first Hocus Pocus is my favourite Halloween film.  When I knew that a second one was coming to Disney plus I had to watch it on it's release day. I enjoyed it however I definitely feel the first one was way better.

Netflix

Dahmer– Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story

The Jeffrey Dahmer Story is an American biographical crime drama limited series created by Ryan Murphy and Ian Brennan for Netflix. It is based on true events of the serial killer.

The Watcher

If you are into thrillers such as The Haunting of Hill House than you may enjoy The Watcher. A family moves into their dream home, only to be plagued by ominous letters, strange neighbors and sinister threats. The series is based on true events.

The Curse of Bridge Hollow

A man and his daughter must team up to save their town after an ancient and mischievous spirit causes Halloween decorations to come to life and wreak havoc.

Devil in Ohio

A psychiatrist takes in a young patient who escaped from a cult, putting her family and life in danger.

Reading again this month has been pretty slow and I only read two books.

The Other Girl by C.D. Major
They thought she was insane. But what if she was telling the truth? 1942, New Zealand. Edith’s been locked away for a long time. She was just five years old when she was sent to Seacliff Lunatic Asylum. Fifteen years later, she has few memories of her life before the asylum, but longs for one beyond it. When she survives a devastating fire that destroys her ward, Edith is questioned by the police and a young doctor, Declan Harris. Intrigued by his beautiful patient, Declan begins to doubt the official reasons for her incarceration. Is she truly mad—or could the impossible stories she told as a child actually be true?

The Gifts by Liz Hyder

I was involved in the blog tour for The Gifts which you can read here. It's an historical fiction with a touch of fantasy and explores a range of topics. It's told in the voice of several female characters.

*Vtrem eyeliner pens x2

I needed new eyeliner and I don't like to spend alot on it so I purchased this pack of 2 from amazon. The colours are black and brown and they are both waterproof.

Handmade lanterns
There is going to be a local Illuminate event later this month so we have made our own hand held lanterns. They were fun to do together and are a great idea for getting the craft stuff out.

Trip to Hall Farm Park
We headed to Hall Farm Park during the half term. We went last year but the day we went this year the weather was slightly better. As well as seeing the animals we went pumpkin picking, had a tractor ride and Blake got burn off lots of energy at soft play.

Maple and Hazelnut muffin
I love the Costa Maple and Hazelnut lattes so when  I saw they did a muffin in the same flavours I had to try it.

Makaton
I started learning Makaton in October and have passed level 1. I'm starting level 2 this coming Thursday evening and looking forward to it.

Stick man
Blake's class have been doing Stick man and Blake came home from school one day having made his own. It's made with a stick and paper mache bandages.

Halloween Dress
I love my Halloween dress that I got second hand on vinted. It looks great teamed with a pair of leggings, a belt and boots.

Trick or Treating
Blake dressed up as a Skeleton this year and we went trick or treating with friends. He got quite a haul of goodies that should last him awhile.

Chocolate Orange cheesecake
I picked up this chocolate orange cheesecake from Aldi as a Halloween treat and not only does it look delicious I can confirm it's very tasty too.
