What a month it's been! Not just with everything Christmas related but there was Blake's 8th Birthday and his party as well. It's been busy but lots of fun and memories made. So here is what we've been loving in December.

Netflix

Wednesday
At the beginning of the month the first thing I watched was Wednesday. I absolutely loved the series and really hope they do alot more seasons.

While attending Nevermore Academy, Wednesday Addams attempts to master her emerging psychic ability, thwart a killing spree and solve the mystery that embroiled her parents 25 years ago.

The School For Good and Evil
Best friends Sophie and Agatha find themselves on opposing sides of an epic battle when they're swept away into an enchanted school where aspiring heroes and villains are trained to protect the balance between good and evil.

A Christmas Miracle for Daisy
Interior designer Whitney Adler agrees to work for her ex-boyfriend Cormac, who has adopted his orphaned niece, Daisy. Daisy's Christmas wish is for Whitney and Cormac to get together so she can have the mother she always wanted.

The Noel Diary
When a best-selling author returns home at Christmas to settle his mother's estate, he finds a diary that holds secrets to the past.

Chili
I had a voucher code to rent a free movie so I opted for one I'd been meaning to watch for ages.

Where The Crawdads Sing
Abandoned by her family at a tender age, a solitary Catherine attempts to fend for herself, much to society's dismay. Soon, she finds herself framed for her former boyfriend's death.

This is the most cosy bedding we own it's like sleeping in a dressing gown. One side is a gorgeous light grey the other side is white. It's ideal for right now whilst It's really cold so we don't need to put the heating on.

Reindeer mug
I picked this up at the beginning of the month in primark. It was the last one in stock at the time and I couldn't resist. Perfect for having my hot chocolate in.

Train Birthday Cake
Blake had a party this year at soft play and we got him a train cake made. The lady is local to us and does cakes as a side job. She did an amazing job not only is the cake perfect for what we had in mind it really did taste absolutely wonderful.

Butterfly Stainglass
Stuart got me this for Christmas after I spotted it at a local Christmas fair. It's a gorgeous piece of stainglass in the shape of a butterfly.

Dreamcatcher necklace
Another gift from Stuart that he got for me from the local Christmas fair. I love Dreamcatchers so this is perfect for me.

Teddy Fleece Cushion
I've been seeing these around for awhile and so I nabbed this from The Range for £25.

Winter Illuminations at Yorkshire Wildlife Park
Our best friends Christmas gift to us was tickets to go and see the Winter Illuminations at Yorkshire Wildlife Park. It was absolutely amazing and we are so glad we got to experience it.

Seeing Santa
We took Blake to see Santa one weekend and he loved it. It was a great experience that a local business set up at home in a marquee. The great thing was you booked a slot and there was no queue to contend with and was able to take as many photos as you wanted to.

Lincoln lights
We went to Lincoln to see the Christmas lights and also to the Winter Illuminations at the castle. It was a great festive activity to do together followed by a meal out.

Blake got this moon light as a birthday present from his Nanny. It is an interactive model of the moon with 12 Illuminated lunar phases. The moon phases can be on automatic or manual via the infared remote control.

This was Blake's main Birthday present from us.
It's pricey however we did get Blake's second hand for alot cheaper. Includes:
  • 4 LEGO minifigures: 2 passengers, a train conductor and a train attendant.
  • Features a motorised engine with 10-speed Bluetooth remote control and opening nose cone, pantograph on the roof and driver’s cabin with opening window and control panel, plus a café car with removable roof and tables, and a passenger car with removable roof, seats and tables
  • Also includes a platform with 2 seats and train services map, a full circular track with 16 curved rails and 4 straight rails, plus a buildable train signal pole
  • Accessory elements include 3 mugs, 3 muffins, a hot dog, croissant, messenger bag and a suitcase with LEGO box inside

*This boy loves Trains t-shirt
This was from my sister and is the perfect top for our train obsessed boy.

Be our guest doormat
We needed a new one and I love beauty and the beast so it was meant to be when I came across it on Dunelm.

Blake's birthday present from our friends is this remote control steam train. It can be driven on various terrain, emits steam and has roaring sounds to simulate a steam train in motion. It also runs on a rechargeable battery which I'd definitely useful!
