What an absolutely amazing month April has been. We've not just had the Easter holidays to enjoy but we've met up with friends, did a cocktail masterclass amongst other things. So overall its been quite busy and I think now the weather is improving we will be doing alot more days out etc.

So lets look in more detail all the things that we have been liking and loving.

Netflix

I've watched a few series this month on Netflix which I've really enjoyed:

Luna Nera

In 17th-century Italy, a teenage midwife accused of witchcraft must choose between fulfilling her powerful destiny and a star-crossed love.

The Law According to Lidia Poët

Lidia Poët, Italy's first qualified lawyer, is banned from practising law because she is a woman. At the same time she investigates murders.

Murder in the Coalfield

When a grisly murder brings Detective Maik Briegand back to his hometown, he finds himself dredging up bodies, clues and past traumas.

Transalantic

An American journalist, during 13 months spent in France in 1940-41, manages to arrange safe passage out of France and on to the US for more than 2000 refugees who are in danger of losing their lives.

Film:

Lyle Lyle Crocodile

When the Primm family moves to New York City, their young son, Josh, struggles to adapt to his new school and friends. All of that changes when he discovers Lyle, a singing crocodile that loves baths, caviar and great music. The two become fast friends, but when evil neighbor Mr. Grumps threatens Lyle's existence, the Primms must band together to show the world that family can come from the most unexpected places.

Uncle Henry's
Uncle Henry's is a Farm Shop, Butchery and Cafe local to us. They have a few events on throughout the year and it was our first time visiting. Blake enjoyed behind the garden wall the most where there is a fairy trail, a jumping pillow and crazy golf. There is also a little outdoor play area for children to burn off some energy.

The Royal Armories (Leeds)
We visited Leeds over the Easter holidays for 2 nights and one of the places we visited whilst there was The Royal Armories. The Royal Armories museum is free to enter and see a national collection of arms and armour. It's definitely worthwhile prebooking as it can get very busy.

Water Taxi
The water taxi at Leeds Dock is a great way to get to and from The Royal Armories. For £2 per person, per journey you get to enjoy a pleasant ride. During summer and school holidays you may have a bit of a wait due to how busy it maybe and each boat only holds a maximum of 12 passengers.

Maths City
Maths City is based on the top floor of the Trinity shopping centre in Leeds. Explore and discover the wonderful and surprising world of mathematics at MathsCity with over twenty interactive exhibits.

The Botanist (Leeds)
We decided to try out The Botanist for the first time and really enjoyed it. The kebabs were amazing as was the desserts and cocktail/ mocktails we went for. I'd definitely reccomended going there if you are yet to try The Botanist. We will definitely go to one more local to us in the future.

Bill's restaurant

Bill's restaurant is another great restaurant we tried out in Leeds. Again the food was delicious and we definitely recommend heading to one of the restaurants if you live nearby one. It was a very family friendly place to eat with a great children's menu.

Premier league and  women's super league trophies
We went to see the premier league and  women's super league trophies that were on display at our local library.

Cocktail masterclass
A few friends and I headed to Sheffield one weekend and did a cocktail masterclass at the forum kitchen and bar.

Batch'd Donuts
On our way home from Leeds we saw a kiosk selling a range of Bach'd sweet treats and we opted for a box of 4 donuts that cost £13.99. They were delicous and I loved the Oreo sandwich one.

Tabletop drawer
I picked up this tabletop drawer from the range for putting bits and bobs in. I can't find the link unfortunately but am tempted to get another. It was £16.99, I also saw another design which was a bit more expensive.

*Skechers Women's Bobs B Cute Sneakers
These Sneakers have to be comfiest pair I've ever worn thanks to their memory foam insole. They are true to size and I definitely want to get more pairs in different colours.

Blake is having some swim sessions with school and he needed a new swim suit. This 2 piece one is perfect as its colourful and fits well. We plan to take him swimming more ourselves this year especially as the weather gets better.
