Below are a few items I found that would make great gifts for fathers day this year. The personalised whisky barrel is a lovely gift idea for Dad's that love the tipple. The equation geek watch is smart and stylish and features the equivalent notation of each number. The shark socks make a fun addition to the man in your life's wardrobe. You can click here for more gift ideas for fathers day.

When it comes to birthday gift ideas for men I picked out items that I could see the men in my life loving. I really love the look of the Bioluminescent Aquarium, tiny bioluminescent plankton illuminate this spherical environment when you gently swirl it. We love to have plants in our home and really like the idea of having a Bonsai tree, this Bonsai forest set is great as it comes with the all the bits to grow your own. Last of all my favourite is the deep sea sand desk sculpture which is ideal for  bringing a calming presence to the home/office. Why not check out the website to find more birthday gifts for men.

In regards to personalised items I picked out some bits for women as well as men as their really are some lovely products. The personalised definition of family necklace is a unique charm necklace which makes an ideal gift for mum's like myself. The custom map serving tray is a lovely way to feature the special spot of your choice whether its the first spot you met your soulmate or your favourite holiday destination. The personalised porcelain mug set is carved with your initials and anniversary which will make a great wedding or anniversary gift. You can find more personalised gifts on this page.

Last Minute Fathers Day Gift Ideas

With it being Fathers Day this Sunday (19th) I thought I'd do a final gift guide of last minute items you could get for your Dad. This guide also includes items that Blake has got for Stuart, so Stuart please don't look at this post please.

DVDS
Blake (I)  picked out Legend for Stuart as he had been wanting this DVD since its release.
I think DVDs are an ideal gift for anyone but also are great if you know your Dad loves a good film.

Chocolate

Another great idea is Chocolate and if you can get a novelty bar than even better I found this games controller one for Stuart on amazon.

A tie
Another idea is a tie and this quirky looking was sent to us and is from House of Fraser.
I actually like the blue shade but know this wont really suit Stuart so will pass this on to someone else.

Homemade items

Get crafty with your little ones for Fathers Day as lets be honest here there is nothing better than a gift or card that has been handmade by your son or daughter.  Here are some crafts Blake has done recently to give you some ideas.

I hope you all have enjoyed my last minute guide and that you all have a lovely Fathers Day whatever you get up to.

Fathers Day with Getting Personal

One of my favorite companies has to be Getting Personal, I love how you can find the perfect gift
for anyone and for Fathers Day there is no exception.

I could spend hours on the website and it always takes me ages to decide what I am going to get.
So here are three fab ideas of what you could get for your Dad or to buy for your children to give to their Dad.

The Man Tin is an ideal for gift for men who if they are anything like my husband always has a drawer in the kitchen filled with miscellaneous items. Now Stuart will be able to keep his pointless items he wants to keep in this little box out of the way. It's definetly a useful gift for Fathers Day.

Next is this gorgeous engraved star paperweight its an ideal gift for commemorate a special occasion.
I chose this as I feel that it makes a fab memento for Stuart as it will be his first Fathers Day.
The paperweight is crafted from smooth , polished metal and can be engraved with a message of your choice.
The paperweight can be personalized with any message up 60 characters printed over four lines.
I chose for it to say:
"Daddy
Lots of Love
 Blake
xxx."

Next up is the Personalized pint glass, Getting Personal have many different designs for Pint Glasses but I chose this one.
The glass is expertly engraved with a stylish oval badge design, alongside the word "Pint"
I chose for it to say "Stuart's Pint" rather than "Daddy's Pint" as I felt it would be more personal to Stuart that way.
The special message I chose was
" Happy Father's Day
Lots of Love
Blake"

Have you chosen what you are going to get for your Dad or for your children to give to their Dad?
I'd love to know, comment below.

My favorite company for sending out amazingly gorgeous flowers has to be Bunches.

What we got for Christmas

I know quite a few bloggers love to read these types of posts so I decided to share with you
this year what I, Stuart and Blake got for Christmas 2014.

We didn't really ask for anything specific this year from people as we didn't really know what we
wanted. Plus as Blake was due so close to Christmas we were more focused on his arrival
than on Christmas and gifts.

I'll start off with Stuart's gifts.
- Micheal McIntyre the complete laughter box from me
- Baylis and Harding set from Blake
- Class of 92 Book and DVD from me
- Tool set from my mum
- Amazon Voucher from his Aunt and Uncle
- Ryan Giggs and a history of Football books from his sister as part of the round robin we do.

He also got some items not pictured:
- A black shirt from me
- New Pjs from Blake
- a cashmere scarf from his aunt and uncle
- Some beers from a client at work
- A bottle of prosecco and chocolate's set from work
- Money from my Nan

I also got some fab gifts:

Not pictured:

- I am awaiting to see what I got from the family round robin this year.

We were also lucky to get some joint gifts:
- Red Towel set
- The Hairy Bikers complete Mum's know best cookbook.
 - Tin of sweet shop favorites
These were joint presents from Stuart's Mum and her husband.
We also got a George Foreman 5 person grill from Stuart's Dad which we needed
as our small 2 person one was heading for the bin.

Onto Blake's gifts:
- Baby Ocean Tummy Time Play Mat from Stuart's Aunt and Uncle
- Cuddly dog toy from Blake's Granny and Jim (Stuart's Mum and husband)
- Cuddle toy giraffe from his Auntie Annie (my sister)
- Cute little booties from Auntie Annie
- Lamaze Freddie the firefly from Mummy and Daddy ;)
- Teddy shape Money box from Mummy and Daddy
- Teddy Rattle from Mummy and Daddy
- Nuby Teether  from a family member
- white knitted cardigans x2 from Nanny (my mum)

He also got:
- Money from one of Stuart's other uncle's
- Tesco Voucher from Grandad (Stuart's Dad)
- Amazon Gift Card from Granny and Jim
- A cute christmas outfit from Auntie Annie

As you can see we have had an awful lot of presents in our home at the moment
combined with gifts that were given the previous week when Blake was born we really need to organise things
before Stuart goes back to work in January.

Fathers Day with Asda

So on Sunday 15th June, its Fathers Day and since I am expecting this year I have brought
a Father to be card for my hubby.

Every year the day before Fathers Day I try and go over to my Mum's
so that we can put some flowers on my Dads grave and she will put some
on my Grandad's.

Also with my birthday being quite close to Fathers Day (17th) it means I get to spend
time with my mum and sister and eat cake.

Asda have sent me some samples from their Fathers day range to show you.
Asda have a wide range of products this Fathers Day so you can find something
whether your Dad is a sweet lover, is stuck on his Iphone or a fan of Star wars.

Asda always have a great range of products at low prices.
So here are the goodies I have been sent;

- Star Wars light saber pens
- Star Wars Notepad
- Mr Men Iphone case

They are a great range which I will be passing on to the hubby as his Father to be gifts
from the baby.
