What Blake Wore: Summer Items with Mothercare

When it comes to buying big items for Blake such as his travel system and his cot our go to place is Mothercare. However we've rarely purchased toys and have never actually brought any clothing from there.

I was recently contacted and asked if I was interested in choosing some items from Mothercare's website.  I thought it would be a prefect opportunity to see what their clothing range is like.  I also have been eyeing up their Freddy the fish bubble machine for awhile after they had one at a local sensory class that Blake and I go to.

The Freddy the fish bubble machine is a fish shaped machine that blows out hundreds of magical bubbles. Sit Freddy in the garden and watch the bubbles float around in the breeze or create a fun and bubbly atmosphere at parties. All you have to do is make Freddy drink some bubble liquid (sold separately) and switch him on to start the fan up. The bubble wands will then rotate releasing an array of bubbles. The machine will need 6 AA batteries (not included) and retails at £16. The Machine is not suitable for under 3 years old but feel that this would be fine as it will be used with supervision and out of Blake's reach.  Mothercare also have a Flora the fish bubble machine which is in a lovely shade of pink.
The Freddy the fish machine is a lovely and colorful blue shade with a touch of green and red.

For clothing I picked out the camera graphic top which is a gorgeous shade of blue. The short sleeve  top features a cute camera hanging mock design. Which looks great  for mixing and matching with shorts, joggers, jeans and chinos. The top is made from soft cotton and ideal for everyday wear.  I really love the soft material of this top and found it to be of high quality. I picked a size 18-24 months as this is the size he is currently in and found it to be very roomy so should last him awhile so the perfect fit. The top is also great value for money at £5. As the weather has been lovely recently Blake has been living in shorts so I teamed this cute top with his navy shorts which go together perfectly.

The other item of clothing I picked out was this cute check shirt which is suitable for everyday and smarter occasions. For an everyday casual look pair with jeans or denim shorts and then for smarter occasions pair with a pair of chinos. The shirt just like the other top is made from soft cotton and is of amazing quality. The shirt has a button opening for easy dressing and on the shirt pocket there is a cute palm tree emblem.  I also picked this out in 18-24 months and found the sizing like the other top to have plenty of room for him grow. As with the other top I paired this shirt with jeans as yesterday was much cooler than it has been recently. Again the top is also great value for money and is £8.

Have you purchased anything from Mothercare recently? Have you checked out their clothing range? or maybe you want I'd love to know.

H&M Boys Clothing Wishlist

One of the things I love doing is browsing at kids clothing online.
Recently I have come across some lovely clothing now that spring/summer range have
come out.

H&M for me has to be one of my favorite shops for baby boy clothing.
I must admit I'm not too keen on the clothing range for boys over the age of 2 years but
under that they have a wide range of clothing that I really want to get for Blake.

With Easter coming up this month, Blake doesn't eat chocolate that much so it would be
a bit pointless getting him a chocolate egg.

So I am thinking it would be great if instead of Easter eggs he got some spring/summer clothing. He will be in size 18-24 months by then and most of his 12-18 months tops are starting to feel a little on the tight side already at 15 months.

So I have compiled a list of 9 items that I love from H&M.

I just love Blake in these colors and know they suit him well.
I love blue's and navy's for spring/summer clothing and H&M's
clothing are such good quality.

What's your favorite item?
I'd love to know your thoughts.

Baby Haul #2

Hi everyone, so we finally got around to actually starting to buy more baby bits.
I have been waiting for most things to arrive before I did this post.

We have a lot still to buy, but now that we have started buying bits I feel relieved.
We have also borrowed a few items from my brother in law's family.
The things we have borrowed which aren't pictured are:
Moses Basket and Stand
- Safari Rocker Chair
- Red mock Bumbo baby chair
- Audio baby monitor
- Baby sling
and
- Door bouncer

So onto what we have brought so far.

The other day I managed to buy a set of 26 baby vests and 2 sleep-suits for £4 off a lady on a local selling site.
There are 13 vests in size newborn, 6 in size 0-3 months and 7 in 3-6 months and
the two sleep-suits are size newborn.

They are a range of brands including George of Asda, F&F of Tesco, Mothercare etc.

I am a huge fan of Amazon and I love giraffes so when I spotted this
patch the giraffe changing mat for £9.95 I had to buy it.
I love that this will suit baby whether they are a boy or a girl
due to the neutral soft colors.

We are planning on using cloth nappies with the occasional use of
disposables.
We are yet to buy the actual cloth nappies but we are thinking of going
for Little Blooms in all in one pocket nappies. If anyone has any other affordable brands
that they use and/or can recommended the info would be great.
We have however brought a 14 liter nappy pail for just over £5,
x2 mesh bags for £8.99 for the bucket and some biodegradable nappy liners (100) for £3.95.
We are also waiting for a wet bag to arrive in the post so I'll share that on my next haul.

Someone I know from Slimming World was selling her electric steriliser and
bottle warmer for £6.
I am planning on breastfeeding but I am hoping to express so that Stuart
can do some night feeds during the week and a few day feeds during the weekend.
So getting a steriliser and bottle warmer was something we thought would be a great idea.

We chose to get the Tommee Tippee Closer to Nature Newborn Starter Kit for £14.99
from Amazon so that we have some bottles ready for expressing.
The kit contains:
- 2 x 260 ml Easi-Vent bottles with slow flow teats
- 2 x 150 ml Easi-Vent bottles with slow flow teats
- 2 x Easi-Vent medium flow teats
- 1 x Bottle brush
- 2 x Anytime 0-6 months soothers
-1 x Instruction leaflet

We also have gone for the Tommee Tippee Closer to Nature Manual Breast Pump, £10.99 from Amazon.
I have chosen to go for a manual breast pump over an electric one as even though I plan on expressing
I am hoping to probably do it once or twice a day and no more than that.
The box contains:
- 1 x Breast pump
- 1 x Easi-vent 150 ml bottle
- 1 x Milk storage pot
- 6 x Disposable breast pads
 - 1 x Microwave steriliser box

Philips AVENT SCF155/06 Washable Breast Pads have been brought as I am hoping it will save me
a lot of money rather than having to constantly buy disposable ones.
These were £5.99 ( also Amazon)

I have also brought 3x packs of 8 wash cloths £1.99 a pack again from Amazon.

We still have quiet a bit to buy for little one though here is a list of things we still need to get:

- Wardrobe and chest of drawers for baby's room
- Toy Storage
- Cot (mother in law has offered to buy us one)
- Bed in a bag ( most likely going to wait til little one is here to buy gender specific set)
- mattresses for both Moses basket and cot
- Sheets and blankets
- Healthcare kit
- cloth nappies
- washable wipes and container
- breast milk storage (we unsure atm if going to to do pots or bags)
- safety bits but they not really needed til little one is here and on the move
- Clothing we need to get more sleepsuits mainly in sizes newborn and 3-6 months for now.
- Toys and books
-Bibs

I think that is all if there is anything else you think I have missed please let me know :)

Little Bear Slippers

Today is a short post as I just had to share with you what I decided to buy bubba
the weekend just gone when I was in my local Morrisons.

Aren't these slippers just so cute even though we didn't want to buy too
much before we move Stuart and I just couldn't resist them since there was
only 2 pairs left.
