Pizza Express NEW Pizza's

If you love pizza and are a fan of Pizza Express then you will love their all
New flavors that they have recently released in supermarkets.

The New flavors are :
- Italian Ham and Mushroom
- Goats Cheese and Spinach
-  Chicken Peppadew and Spice
 - Spicy Beef, Peperoni and hot peppers
and
- Vegetable and Pesto

The Italian Ham and Mushroom pizza was lovely
with prosciutto ham , creamy mozzarella, black olives and roasted mushrooms.
I am not a huge fan of olives so took them off my slice of pizza and let hubby have them.
I loved the combination of the ham, mozzarella and roasted mushrooms.

The Goat's Cheese and Spinach pizza was one of my favorites.
This pizza had savory goat's cheese with sweet red onion chutney and spinach
I am a huge fan of these flavors so having them on a pizza was a fab treat
and the spinach is great for my Iron levels.

Another great flavor is the Chicken, Peppadew and Spice.
The majority of the time when I order a pizza i choose one with chicken
as a topping.
This Pizza has chargrilled chicken, sweet peppadew peppers (another topping I love),
creamy mozzarella and cajun spice.
This pizza wasn't that hot and was enjoyable.

Next up is a pizza that Stuart always tends to go for
Spicy Beef, Pepperoni and Hot Peppers.
This pizza has spicy beef, pepperoni, creamy mozzarella and hot peppers.
I really enjoyed this pizza but removed the hot peppers I thought they made
it a bit too spicy for me but am sure hubby didn't think so.

Last of all we have the Vegetables and Pesto.
Toppings are:
Artichoke hearts, basil pesto, roasted mushrooms, Santos tomato's and
creamy mozzarella. Another great pizza but still not really my cup of tea.

What do you think of Pizza Express's New pizza flavors?

Summer with Pizza Express Leighton Buzzard

Stuart and I love pizza, so when asked if we wanted to try out Pizza Express' summer menu
we jumped at the chance.

Sunday was the perfect day for us to go as I love relaxed Sundays with the hubby and also we
had such lovely weather recently too.

In Leighton Buzzard our local Pizza Express is located on market square at the top of the high street in a two storey building with the ground floor being split into two levels. The building used to be an old working fire station.

When we arrived we were greeted by one of the waiters and were given a choice of sitting on the lower or higher
level of the ground floor. We chose to sit on the upper level near the window.

We were given a few minutes to decide on what we would like to drink, we had already had an idea of
what food we wanted to order as we had looked at their menu online the day before.

Drink's wise Stuart chose to go for a regular coke and I chose to go for
some raspberry lemonade.
Pizza express have a good range of both Alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks so you
will find something that suits your taste.

DOUGH BALLS DOPPIO
For starter Stuart and I chose to go for the sharing portion of dough balls.
The dough balls were warm and soft and very tasty and combined with the dips
(see photo below) made a great starter.
The dips that come with the dough balls are Pesto, Garlic Butter and N'duja.
N'duja is a type of spicy Italian softened sausage and olive oil.

ETNA PIZZA

For our mains we both went for some pizza and Stuart chose to go for the
Etna pizza which is a thin based pizza with the following toppings:
Hot soft n'duja sausage, roquito peppers, speck ham and Gran Moravia cheese.

RUSTICHELLA PIZZA

The pizza I chose also was with a thin base and had the following toppings:
Crispy pancetta, roasted tomatoes, rocket, Gran Moravia cheese and Caesar dressing.

The waiter gave us the chance of having some optional extras such as
chilli oil, garlic oil, chilli flakes and parmesan and more.
I love parmesan so I decided to sprinkle some over my pizza.

LEGGERA SORBET
We chose to also go for pudding and Stuart went for the Leggera Sorbet
which was raspberry sorbet with mint and a chocolate stick.

VANILLA PANNA COTTA

I chose to go for the Vanilla Panna Cotta which is new to the menu.
The panna cotta comes with a strawberry and mint on the side.

We were impressed with the service the drinks and meals arrived in good time.
The staff were all very polite and friendly, so we overall we had a lovely experience and highly recommend this restaurant in particular.

Takeaway with Just Eat

Sometimes you just don't want to cook and last Thursday that is exactly how we felt.
So when Just Eat asked me if we would like a £10 code so we could order ourselves in a little treat I jumped at the chance.

When you go on the website you type in your post code and up pops
a list of takeaways in your area that are currently open.

We chose Bella Pizza as we have eaten from them quite a few times in the past.
Ordering was pretty simple and we chose to go for a deal that cost £16.99 which meant
we only had to pay £6.99 of our own money plus £1 for delivery. Or so we thought.
To our annoyance at the last part of the checkout process they added on a processing fee (ours was 50P) which wasn't stated beforehand.

The deal we chose was 2 small 10 inch pizza's, a pot of coleslaw and a pot of potato salad,
4 x small chicken wings and 1.5 litre bottle of lemonade which cost £16.99.

Delivery wise it took about 45 minutes to arrive which is a fair amount of time considering they
would have had to make the pizza up and cook the chicken wings.

The Pizza I went for was Chicken Licken which was double chicken, mushroom, sweetcorn and onions.
As I have had pizza from them before I can tell you it was lovely as usual.

Stuart chose to go for Pepperoni explosion which was triple pepperoni and double cheese.

We both fully enjoyed our treat and would definitely order through Takeaway.com again but only
if they dropped the processing charge.
