June Favorites

July is here already and although its 3 days late its time to share with you mine and Blake's June favorites. Now I've been a bit silent on the blog front over the last week and this is because I decided to take a little break from blogging. I then fell ill with labyrinthitis for those that don't know what that is, its a inner ear infection which effects balance so I've been feeling rather dizzy and nauseous since Wednesday. I'm still feeling rather poorly so although I will be blogging I'll be taking it easy so wont be doing as many posts until I am feeling much better.

So my first favorite for June is a restaurant called Mama Rosa's which is based in Leighton Buzzard, Bedfordshire. We had never eaten here before even though I walk pass the place regularly.  I decided that I want to try the place out for my birthday meal so the day before my birthday that is what we did and the food is amazing. The portions are huge though and we were both unable to finish off our main as we had ordered a starter to begin with not realizing how big the portions there were going to be. I went for a pasta dish for my main which had salmon, cod and a lovely sauce topped with cheese.

My next favorite is Dream a little dream by Giovanna Fletcher. I finished this book in a week and just loved it. Its such a cute romance story which is a perfect beach read in my opinion. I've added her other three books to my collection now which I'm looking forward to reading at a later date.

I purchased the Urban Decay Naked2 eyeshadow pallet with my birthday money. Can you believe that this is the only high end make up I own. I've used a Mac foundation before which I do need to buy more off though.  I picked this up as I have the W7 dupe of this pallet which I love so I decided to get this, have fell in love and need to get the other two  Naked pallet's.

Eyeshadow colors left to right:
Foxy, Half Baked, BootyCall, Chopper, Tease, Snakebite, Suspect, Pistol, Verve, YKD, Busted and Blackout.

The colors I've used the most are Foxy, BootyCall, Chopper and Tease. I love all the colors though its such a great neutrals pallet, the eye shadows are easy to blend and there is hardy any fall out like when use the dupe version. It's definitely pricey at £38.50 but I definitely think its a great investment if you love to wear eye shadow every day.

My last favorite is the Soap and Glory Sexy Mother Pucker lipgloss in Rose and Shine.
I've found myself applying this quite a bit this month and I love the color and how my lips look when i use this. It's not too sticky and I've also used this over a Matte lip crayon and love how it looks.

On to Blake's favorites first up is the Grow it: My very own garden set from Wicked Uncle.
Blake has loved taking the flowers and veg out of the pots and putting them back in again.
You can read my review here which also includes the Fix it: My very own tool box.

Next up is the Freddy the fish bubble machine from Mothercare. You can also read my thoughts on the bubble machine here. All kids tend to love bubbles and Blake is no exception he gets so excited and has loved us getting the bubble machine out this month.
We even took it over to my in laws so that he could enjoy them with his cousins in the garden.

I purchased 75 Children's Favorites CD off amazon and Blake loves me popping this on and having a little dance and wiggle on his bottom. I love that there is such a wide variety of nursery rhymes and I know the majority of them which is always handy. I definitely want to get him some more children's CDs so if you have any recommendations comment below.

As the Tesco club card boost was ending I decided to double up our club card points and use it towards some new books for Blake. I chose four books and these are the two which he is really loving at the moment.

Little Blue truck is fab little book where Blue a little pick up is driving along the country road and meets some farm animal friends on route so when he gets stuck in the mud help is on hand.

Postman bear is about a Bear who is writing letters. One, two, three. Bear goes out to post them. Who lives in this tree?" Bear is writing letters to his friends. Lift the flaps and join Frog, Squirrel and Mole for Bear's special surprise! Blake loves these kind of books and gets excited lifting up the flaps.

What do you think of this months favorites?

February Favorites

It's favorites time again! February went extremely fast even with the extra day this year.
I do have quite a few favorites this month, five are by Soap and Glory.
There are some other brands also included too as well as a few random bits.

Soap and Glory Thick and Fast High Definition Collagen Coat

It's very rare that I use mascara's that are not waterproof but I really
love this one.
I find that most mascara's that aren't waterproof smudge very easily.
I've been lucky with Soap and Glory Thick and Fast as it hasn't done this.
The wand is great and coats the mascara on every lash very well and gives me the
lashes I want.

Soap and Glory Peaches and Clean
Cleansing Milk

I've been using this every night during February to remove my make up before bed.
It melts away my make up leaving my skin feel soft, smooth and make up free.
You only need to use a few pumps which is great as I still have loads left.

Soap and Glory Clean On Me

Fragranced with the Soap and Glory scent this shower gel smells amazing!
The shower gel has built in body lotion which means you don't need to moisturise after use, although I still do out of habit.

Soap and Glory Scrub of your life
I've been using this body scrub once or twice a week during February to make my skin feel smooth and soft and remove dead skin cells.
After use I certainly notice a difference in  how my skin feels.

Soap and Glory Righteous Butter
I've been using this every two days as I have been switching between this one and the E45 one that I have mentioned below. I love the scent of this one and the thick consistency.
It soaks in really well and makes my skin feel moisturised.

E45 Nourish and Restore Lotion
I love the clean scent of this lotion and its been making my skin feel great.
Some days my skin feels drier than others which is when I have been using this and
my skin then feels much more hydrated.

Makeup Revolution Antibacterial Brush Cleaner
Since about mid January I have been using this brush cleaner
to make sure my make up brushes are cleaner and more hygienic.
I use to clean them using baby shampoo but much prefer to use this antibacterial cleaner.
The smell doesn't bother me too much but some people may not like it you'll have to try out and see. I'm including  it in this months favorites as I have had more use of it this month.

L'Oréal Elvive Extraordinary Oil Shampoo and Conditioner
I've really been loving this shampoo this month.
I think it smells amazing and my hair feels really good after use.
I still wash my hair every day but feel that they are great products to use
especially if you have dry ends like my hair tends to be.

Converse Leather Dainty Ox
When Stuart asked me what I had wanted for our anniversary this year, I knew I wanted
a pair of these leather converses.
I love them so much that I want to get the black pair as well.
We have decided to stop doing traditional gifts and buy each other something we really want.  I love converse and had my first pair at the age of 15 they last ages and are super comfortable.

Pretty Little Liars
During February I signed up to Netflix and my free trial is nearly
ending but I have decided to keep having netflix as there are such great shows on there.
Pretty Little Liars is my favorite this month and I am season 4 at the moment so still need to do some catching up.

Bambino Miosolo
A bit of a random one cloth nappies.
These nappies are fab and we always have the brand and the AIO's but
I had to include the new prints that Aldi released back at the end of January.
My favorite print is up and away which is the middle one with hot air balloons.
We been reaching for these designs a bit more during February.

I hope you have enjoyed reading about my February favorites.
What are your favorites this month? If you have done a post I'd love to see.

January Favorites

I love watching and reading other bloggers or youtubers monthly favorites so I have decided that this year I am
going to do my own monthly favourites.

Each month I will be sharing things with you that I loved that month.
They won',t be specific categories just random things that I love.
It could be make up, books, homewares, anything really.

LOreal Paris Infallible Matte Foundation
This month I have been loving this foundation.
It's a matte foundation which has a great coverage and is meant to last 24 hours (not that I have ever had foundation on for that long). This foundation gives me a flawless base and doesn't look cakey.

Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer
I love this concealer and I don't think I'll be using any other one anytime soon.
I use the shade fair and mainly use it under my eyes and on any spots that I may have.

Soap and Glory Hand Food
My hands this time of year get terribly dry so I am always on the search for a hand cream
that works well and that smells good.
I don't buy Soap and Glory products that often as I try and buy cheaper brands.
However I do love this hand cream as it keeps my hands hydrated and it smells amazing.

Dyson Upright DC40
Just before Christmas our hoover broke down and as we always got cheaper ones
that didn't last that long, we decided that we would invest in getting a Dyson.
We decided to go for the upright one as we have most of the time gone for an upright hoover and I have never been keen on a cylinder hoover.
We are so glad that we decided to invest in a Dyson as its the best hoover we have
ever had. I just had to include it in this month's favourites.

The Bloggers Planner
I have to mention the Bloggers Planner.
It has made me so much organised with keeping track of
blog posts, stats etc and I am so glad that Stuart got me this for Christmas.
I love that it's Monochrome which I am really loving at the moment.

Himalayan Salt Lamp
Another present that Stuart got me for Christmas is a favorite this month.
I'm not sure if its just a placebo but I am feeling that this does work and
is keeping the air in our bedroom more clearer.

The Life Changing Magic Of Tidying Up
This book by Mari Kondo is fab. It's made me want to be more organised and
I am hoping when Stuart is off this week I will have a bit of time to get some organisation done.

Well, those are my January favourites.
What are your favourites this month?
I'd love to know, as usual comment below
and let me know.

My Christmas Wishlist

Every year I get asked what I would like for Christmas and
I always never know what to ask for.
This year I have compiled a list of items that I would love to see under the tree.

I don't expect to get all of these but I wanted to be able to give others some ideas.
The ones photographed are items that I want the most.

Soap and Glory The Whole She Bang
I have wanted the big soap and glory set for the last few years
but never seem to be able to get hold of it half price.
Maybe this will be the year?

Make Up Revolution Eye Shadow Palette
The one photographed is the flawless Matte palette
but I also like the shimmer palette as well.

Real Techniques Make Up Brushes
I love both of these and know that someone has already got them for me.
I've really been getting into my make up recently and have been watching videos on
youtube so a good set of brushes are ideal.

Kilner Glass
I really like the look of these and the pale blue one from Wilko is cute.
They also do them in pink.

The Bloggers Planner
I've wanted one of these for ages and Stuart has got me one
for Christmas during the Black Friday sale.

Adele 25 CD
I really love Adele and am hoping to be able to get tickets to go
and see her March in London.

Glamour Magazine Subscription
Glamour is the magazine that I read the most and it would be
great to get a subscription which would save money as its £1 an issue rather than £2
if you buy a 12 month one.

Books
Books are always a good present for me and I have a list on Amazon.
I'm a big reader although I need to get off the internet and read a bit more again.
This will be my new year goal to read more.

What have you asked for Christmas this year?

I'd love to know
comment below.
