Review: Boujies London Maison Vive Candle

Most of you will know by now that I love candles.

Boujies are independent  perfumers and luxury candle maker
founded in 2009  in London’s fashionable Spitalfields market.
Their vision is to re-discover the  natural artistry of British perfumery and develop a range of luxury fragrances, made in England and inspired by nature.
Since their launch, their  luxury candles have been shortlisted for British gift of the year in both 2011 and 2012.
Boujies are now sold by retailers all over the world.

They have four collections
- Maison Noir
-  Maison Blanc
- Maison D'or
and
- Maison Vive

I was given the opportunity to choose a candle from their
Maison Vive collection.

Maison Vive is their best-selling vibrant range of bold fragrances.
Each candle will fill your home with an refreshing fragrance and create a touch of luxury for every day.

The Candle Jars come in one size (300g).
As you can see from the photo's
the jar comes complete with a removable lid so
you can keep your fragrance fresh.

The candle was sent in a well packaged small box
to avoid breakage and arrived within just under a week.

I chose to go with Peony & Grapefruit candle
which is a a pretty and sophisticated floral,
blended with ylang, jasmin and lily resting on a sweet
vanilla and musk base.

The burn time of this candle is approx 35 hours
and retails at £12

All  of Boujies candles are hand-poured in England using 100% Environmentally friendly Soy wax
and their own delicious  scents.

I was blown away by the utterly floral and exciting scent and honestly
can say this is one of the best candle scents I have ever smelt.

Review: Shabby Chic Items with Home-Treats

Over the last few years I have started to get interested in the whole Shabby Chic look.
I have recently started buying some little shabby chic bits and bobs for our flat.
I was really excited when I received a parcel from Home-Treats , they offered to
let me choose some items to review up to £15
and this little lot came to just over £13.

Home-Treats is a new company that started up this month
selling a range of well priced, stylish and high quality gifts for
your home.

I had a look at their range of willow heart pieces  which included 3 different heart
hangings and willow shaped box's which come in either white or grey wash.
After much debate I decided to go with the
Willow Heart with White Ribbon (£3).

The Willow heart hanging has a country feel and
rustic vibe.
I love how even though its plain in colour the twigs
make it an interesting to look at piece.
The great thing is that it is a perfect decoration
for any room and will compliment any home.
Mine is currently hung on our bed and goes
well with our new shabby chic bedding and cushion.

I also had to get another hanging this time I wanted one for our bedroom door
I chose another heart shaped piece but this time a fabric one.
I chose the Purple Fabric Floral Hanging Heart with Heart Buttons
I had a choice of two sizes medium (£4) and large (£5)
and I chose to go for the larger one.
They also sell some fabric heart garlands that I like the look of.

This pretty heart hanging is a gorgeous deep purple floral pattern with
two cute heart button detail and a white and purple gingham ribbon.
Its perfect for our bedroom door and would look lovely
in any girls bedroom.
This would vamp up a very plain room and is a very attractive and eye catching accessory.

Last of all since the window above our bed looks a bit boring with nothing on it
I decided to look and see if I could find something to put on the window sill.
I found the Large Cream Wooden Dream Sign with Red Hearts
which for some reason I am unable to find the link for.
The moment I saw it online I knew it would be perfect and I was correct.

The Dream wooden sign is crafted with hours of care and looks right at home on
my window sill but will also look fab on a bed side table, displayed in a cabinet or hung on
a wall.
The gorgeous sign has been painted cream and decorated with red love hearts making
it an ideal piece for the home.

All of Home-Treats products will make lovely gifts for friends and family
no matter the occasion.

The website is easy to navigate with different sections to find what you are looking for.
Payment couldn't be easier just add what you want to purchase to the basket
then go to the checkout double check the prices click checkout fill in your details tick to
to confirm details and your done.
You get an email confirming your order along with the royal mail tracking number.

Postage is £2.95 standard and £4.95 for express delivery unless you spend over £50
then standard is free and express is £2.

Review: Utterly Personal personalised keyring's.

Utterly Personal are a company that sell a range of personalised gifts/cards.
whatever the occasion you are buying for you will find a range of high quality
personalised products that are suitable for everyone.
There a gifts suitable for both men and women, children and teenagers
as well as a range of products no matter what your budget is.

It took me awhile to choose an item that I wanted as they sell so many
lovely personalised gifts.
I wanted to find something that would benefit both me and my husband
and with our first wedding anniversary come up in February I decided to look
in the anniversary section on their website.

I came across these lovely silver finished keyring's that could
be personalised with our names and thought this was ideal for us.

I ordered the item on the 17th and got a confirmation email to say that that the item
had been dispatched on the 18th I received them on 23rd.
I was excited to see how it turned out.
On opening the packaging I noticed that the keyring's were in a lovely
silver box for protection.

I was a little worried about our names being spelt wrong as a lot of the time
people mistake my name for Joanne rather than Joanna but I was
thrilled upon inspection of the item that the names were spelt correctly.

Unfortunately the above photo is the best I could take
but you can see our names clearly.

Once my hubby came in from work I showed him the wonderful item
and he was also thrilled with how well they had turned out too.

The keyring's are nickel plated and can hold two images of 1."6 x 1.2" in size.
However I am yet to work out where the photo's go, but once I do I want to put
photo's of each of us in them.

I will certainly be buying from them in future in fact I am trying to find something for a valentines present.
So if your looking for something different which can be personalised then I do recommend you
have a look at Utterly Personal.

You can find the keyring's I've got here.

Review: Black Rose Creations Jewellery

Black Rose Creations is an Esty Shop which started up in June 2012
by the lovely Tammy.

Tammy sent me over some lovely bits which I am excited in showing you
as they are all handmade by her and are made with such love and care.

so here's what I got.

Purple Rose Ring

All of the rings from Black Rose Creations are handmade to order this lovely ring I got
is silver plated copper and costs £8, however she does do a real silver version for £16.
The Rose Rings only currently come in Purple or Black
but she does loads of other different ones in different colours.

Lilac Tree Of Life Earrings and Necklace
are both silver plated copper and are fiddly to make
how gorgeous are these though? You can tell that Tammy has
certainly put a lot off effort into making them.
They also come in a range of colours too.

Earrings £5
Necklace (on cord) £8

Onto my favourites out of the items I was sent the bracelets I was sent
6 in total the reason for their only being photo's of 5 is that I
have a lot of purple ones I was sent 3 purple ones so only showed
you 2 as they are near enough the same sort of colour's.

All of the bracelets are silver plated copper and every link
is handmade by the lovely Tammy and then checked before the
"made with love" charm is added.

I love these bracelets so much and they come in more colours too
am thinking of getting a blue one :)
They cost £5 each and are so worth it.

Fimo Black Rose Pendant, £5
I am the first to get one of these as they are new .
They are made from Fimo Clay and Tammy is
planning on hopefully doing some more and hopefully
some silver plated, copper and bronze ones.

I just wanted to personally thank Tammy for giving me the opportunity to
try out her lovely range of jewellery.

If your loving the items I have shown you
pop over to Black Rose Creations facebook page
you will not be disappointed.

Review: Green People Body Butter

Green People is the leader in certified Organic body care products.
Established in 1997 Green People sell an extensive range of natural products
and is now one of the biggest names  in organic beauty in the UK.

However Green People started just by a mother who wanted to help her young daughter.
In 1994 a 2 year old Sandra was suffering from eczema and sever allergies her mother
Charlotte wanted to get to the bottom of the problem.
So Green People was born.
You can read the full company history here  if you wish.

I tried the 200ml Body Butter, £19.95 which is packed
in a  wide based plastic pot with a white lid with the logo
on the top and side.
Now as I like to be honest in my reviews that I do I will say
that I do find that the logo of Green People's products to be a bit
of a disappointment. I personally believe that they could make
the logo bigger and more attractive so that it stands out and
is more eye catching to the consumer.

On opening the Body Butter I was hit with a gorgeous scent of
Organic Pomegranate, Rosehip and coconut I could also
smell a lemony scent too which when I read the ingredients
I found out that this lovely Body Butter contains Lemon-grass oil.

To use apply on dry skin after showering/bathing and massage
in with long gentle strokes allow to soak in before dressing.

I mainly used this body butter on my arms and stomach
and found that it is more like an oil then a cream which
when I hear Body Butter I assume will be a cream
but that isn't a problem really.

When applying I found it easy to apply all over my skin and you don't
need a lot at all so the pot will last awhile.
I also found that the oil warms up too when applying which
is nice definitely great when the weather is like today with
loads of snow on the ground and your feeling really cold.
The only disadvantage of this Body Butter is that I found
that it was a tad greasy and took awhile to adsorb into my skin.

Overall I do feel that this Body Butter is more suited to someone
with much more drier skin then me due to its moisturising benefits.

I am going to try applying to my feet and putting on a clean pair of socks
before bed so that my feet feel more smoother in the morning
as do suffer from dry skin more on that area of my body
and I am sure that this would work wonders.

Green People sell a range of products including products for:

- Skincare
- Body care
- Hair
- Babies and Children
- Men

and also sell
- Toothpaste
- make up
- sun care
- Vegan products
- Travel size products
and
- Gift sets.

Review: Bunches Hyacinth Heaven

I love flowers both fresh and faux on the window sill in our
lounge I always have my faux ones in my special vase unless
I have some fresh ones.

I was excited when I found out that Bunches would
send me one of their luxury bouquet's from their spring range.

Bunches are a family run florist's  who are based in Nottinghamshire
they have been delivering flowers by post since 1989.
They sell a range of bouquets starting from £9.99  including UK delivery and
free milk chocolates.
As well as house plants,  helium balloons and gift sets.

I was told that I should expect the flowers the next working day or
the day after this was depending on the weather.

As we had heavy snow I was expecting it most likely arrive later.
However  they arrived yesterday morning, certainly brightening
my day since they are so bright and colourful.

They were also presented in a white box with the colourful
bunches logo.
When I opened the box I was delighted to see the beautiful
bouquet which as you can see from above photo is very eye catching.
The bouquet was stood up in a small plastic container which kept the stems fresh and moist within
 a stand-up box.

As you can see I was very eager to get them into my vase.

I received the lovely Hyacinth Heaven which is brand new to
their spring range.

The Hyacinth Heaven is a gorgeous Sisal posy filled with
Cerise Germini Daises, vibrant yellow Tulips, white Santini Chrysanthemums
and fragrant blue Hyacinth.
Finished with sunny Solidago and glossy Salal leaf.

The great thing is that you don't even need to arrange these
you just need to pop them in a vase.

Normally flowers when ordered come with a free box
of chocolates, however as I didn't get these I am unable to
let you know what they are like.

The flowers I  received included a simple message card,
a little leaflet  with info on how to care for your flowers and about Bunches.
This was all along with a 2013 Bunches calendar which each month
has some kind of discount or deal such as £1 off and double posy points etc.

I have never used Bunches before and overall I can honestly say
I am impressed with them.
They go to great lengths to make the customer happy and
provide flowers which carry on looking healthy and fresh after being
delivered to your door.
I will definitely order flowers with Bunches in the future and
will recommend them to my family and friends.

Their Luxury bouquet section has 19 options to choose from
and they do a range of classic value flowers, platinum collection, house plants, luxury roses
and gift sets as well meaning there is something for everyone.
They also currently have up their valentines range.

Have you ever used Bunches before?
If not you are missing out
as there is something suitable whatever the occasion.

Butterfly Twits Ballerina Fold Up Shoes

Butterfly Twists started out as a small London based company launched by four friends
back in 2004. Now they are stocked nationwide by various boutiques,
department stores and online retailers.
In fact they have gone from strength to strength featuring is magazines
such as cosmo and being warn by a range of famous faces such as
The Saturdays and  Sophie Ellis Bextor.

I am unable to walk in high heel shoes, in fact on my on my wedding
day back in February last year I really struggled and was relieved when
we got to the reception to take them off and walk around bare foot.

Now if I had known back then of Butterfly twists I would have
likely have got their lovely Olivia White/Gold pair to wear
once I hit the reception.

The shame is that I love looking at high heels and wish I could
wear them like some women who seem to somehow manage to cope
with the pain of them all day long.
However that's not me and going around in bare feet
can be dangerous.

I know that fold up shoes have been out for ages and I have tried
a vast amount on in the shops but they looked plain and
they also looked as if they would fall apart easily.
Back in December I was luckily enough
to win a competition with Butterfly Twists
on their facebook page giving me a chance to
choose a pair from the options available.

One of the main advantages of Butterfly Twists is that they come in
34 different styles/colours so that you don't just have to have a plain black pair.

I chose to go with the Christina II in black.
As you can see in the two of the above photos they are packaged well.
They come packed in a lovely black box with the Butterfly Twists logo.

In the box the shoes also some with a little  black
pouch with the Butterfly Twists logo on and a red ribbon drawstring.
This is so they are easy to find in your handbag.

As you can see the Christina II features crystals for a hint of glamour.
This version compared to the original has more darker crystals
and doesn't have a bow.
I chose these ones as I think they would go with most of my outfits
and I love a little bit of sparkle.
I really want to try out a pair of their boots and have my eye
on the black Angel pair.

Another great thing about Butterfly Twists is that the soles of
them are thick with a ribbed grip  so you wont slip as easily.
I also love that they are not just for nights out
due to the many styles they can be used on a daily basis
such as when shopping, working, driving and even when travelling.

They cost £30 and come in sizes 2-9 so cater for small and big feet and if you also
like me have wide fitted feet then as you can see in the above photo that's not a problem either.

Ecoforce and Dishmatic Giveaway.

Back in December I did a review on Ecoforce and Dishmatic
you can see my review here
and now one lucky person has the chance of winning
a years supply of green goodies
worth £50
which includes several of these:
Dishmatic
Dishmatic Refills
Dishmatic Steel Scourers
EcoForce Pegs
EcoForce clothes line
EcoForce dusters, sponges, scourers and cloths

Review: Tropic Skincare Body Smooth Refreshing Polish

Tropic Skincare is a natural, vegan and cruelty-free body and skin care range by 2011
Apprentice finalist Susan Ma
Susan Ma is 50/50 partner of the company with Lord Alan Sugar

At Tropic Skincare they believe that skin is your best asset and deserves only the best
treatment and care.
I can honestly say that I agree with them.

I tried the 100ml Body Smooth Polish, £15.00 which is packed in
a lovely wide based plastic pot with an eye-catching golden lid.
The Body Smooth polish is 100% natural packed with
rich sea minerals and pure plant oils.
This handy little pot is filled with goodness
that gently buffs away dead skin cells and
rejuvenate & revitalise thanks to vitamin E
making your skin smooth and unbelievably soft.

This product is certainly refreshing like the product name entails.
with top notes of Lemon Myrtle, mid notes of Bergamot & base notes of White Patchouli
this makes a exciting and thrilling treat for your skin.

To use you apply a small amount to dry skin
(it is suitable for use on hands, feet and body)
and gently massage into your skin for one minute,
then all you have to do is rinse off all the salts in the bath or shower
leaving the oils on your skin.

I mainly chose to use the Body Smooth Polish on my arms and legs and found that it is
very grainy but due to the oil is easy to massage in.
After I popped into the bath and rinsed off using my hands to remove the
salts.
My skin felt extremely smooth and silky after which means
that there is no need to use a body lotion afterwards.
I also found the scent lasted for ages on my skin and
it was nice to get a whiff of lemon every now and again!

It is recommended that you use the Body Smooth Polish 1-3 times a week,
this Body Polish will certainly last a while too as a little goes a long way.
Also good news is that Tropic also sell a larger 200ml
pot for £20.

Tropic also sell a range of other skin care products including:
-  Lip Love Balm
- Eye Refresh Role On
- Face Smooth Polish
- Smoothing Cleanser
- Body Love Butter Cream
and more,

which would make lovely gifts for friends, family or the special person in your life.
