Butterfly Twists started out as a small London based company launched by four friends
back in 2004. Now they are stocked nationwide by various boutiques,
department stores and online retailers.
In fact they have gone from strength to strength featuring is magazines
such as cosmo and being warn by a range of famous faces such as
The Saturdays and Sophie Ellis Bextor.
I am unable to walk in high heel shoes, in fact on my on my wedding
day back in February last year I really struggled and was relieved when
we got to the reception to take them off and walk around bare foot.
Now if I had known back then of Butterfly twists I would have
likely have got their lovely Olivia White/Gold pair to wear
once I hit the reception.
The shame is that I love looking at high heels and wish I could
wear them like some women who seem to somehow manage to cope
with the pain of them all day long.
However that's not me and going around in bare feet
can be dangerous.
I know that fold up shoes have been out for ages and I have tried
a vast amount on in the shops but they looked plain and
they also looked as if they would fall apart easily.
Back in December I was luckily enough
to win a competition with Butterfly Twists
on their facebook page giving me a chance to
choose a pair from the options available.
One of the main advantages of Butterfly Twists is that they come in
34 different styles/colours so that you don't just have to have a plain black pair.
I chose to go with the Christina II in black.
As you can see in the two of the above photos they are packaged well.
They come packed in a lovely black box with the Butterfly Twists logo.
In the box the shoes also some with a little black
pouch with the Butterfly Twists logo on and a red ribbon drawstring.
This is so they are easy to find in your handbag.
As you can see the Christina II features crystals for a hint of glamour.
This version compared to the original has more darker crystals
and doesn't have a bow.
I chose these ones as I think they would go with most of my outfits
and I love a little bit of sparkle.
I really want to try out a pair of their boots and have my eye
on the black Angel pair.
Another great thing about Butterfly Twists is that the soles of
them are thick with a ribbed grip so you wont slip as easily.
I also love that they are not just for nights out
due to the many styles they can be used on a daily basis
such as when shopping, working, driving and even when travelling.
They cost £30 and come in sizes 2-9 so cater for small and big feet and if you also
like me have wide fitted feet then as you can see in the above photo that's not a problem either.
