Wax Lyrical "Tis the season candle

Back in 2012 I had the chance to review Wax Lyrical's Celebration candle in time for Christmas.
You can read the review here, this year I am able to show you another of their wonderful
range of candles.
This time the "Tis The Season candle which comes in 3 different sizes and is available
as a reed diffuser as well.

I received the medium sized candle, £12 which burns for an average of 50 hours.
They have a fab range of scents over on their website here and not just Christmas scents either.

What Wax Lyrical say about the "Tis Season Scent:
" 'Tis the season to be jolly... Deck the halls with boughs of holly, and let this rich scent of sumptuous red berries and shimmering green foliage surround you.Inject some stylish ambience to any room in your home with the simple design of this contemporary medium candle jar with lid. Only the highest quality wax has been used to ensure a clean burn and maximum fragrance throw."

Review: Slinky Links Tassel Leather Earrings

My posts have been a bit delayed as I was planning on writing up
some posts to schedule on Friday but have come down with
an awful cold which I still am suffering from at the minute.
So anyway I am doing them now and am a bit behind but you'll
have some great posts to read this week!

SlinkyLinks is a company owned by Melodie Telliez.
Melodie set up SlinkyLinks as a way to turn scraps of leather into beautiful Christmas Gifts!
She use to work for a shoe maker in London and found that their was left over bits
of leather that couldn't really be used for anything well that was what was thought...

She decided to act and use the scraps to make jewellery gifts for her friends and family.
She got such good feedback that she decided to open her little Esty shop.

I was sent some Gold Leather Tassel Earrings, £15 to show you.
They are made from high quality reclaimed gold leather and are rolled up
around a thin chain and secured with a jump ring allowing them to
adjust the length of the earrings by sliding the tassels along the chain.
For the chains and hardware Melodie uses stainless steel or 14k gold fill
to prevent allergies.

Pros:
- Uses up left over leather so a fab way to stop wastage
-  Chains and hardware made from metals that prevent allergies
- stylish and unique pieces
- adjustable

Cons:
None I can really think of.

Overall:

SlinkyLinks sell a range of very unique and stylish pieces using left over material
which are sold for a great price and makes wonderful gifts for Christmas.

SlinkyLinks currently having 10% off over on her Esty shop  if you use the code : 10PERCENTOFF until
31/12/2013 .

Review: Christmas With The Body Shop

I am sure most of you would have heard of The Body Shop.
The Body Shop believe that beauty comes from the heart and not just a pretty face.
All products are made with love and care and one of the big things I love
about The Body Shop is that they don't test on animals and that all of their products
are 100% Vegetarian.

I first brought skincare and make up items from The Body Shop back in 2003 when I was 13

or even as a gift their is this gorgeous eye palette, £15.
The smoky eye palette is back with an all new twist of colour!

Recent Purchases

Over the next few coming months I am planning on spending much less
since I am in the need to save up for quite a few things for the winter months.

However here are a few things that I have brought recently.

Books glorious books
1. The Other Hand by  Chris Cleave
2. Sister by Rosamund Lupton
3. Room by Emma Donoghue
4. Afterwards by Rosamund Lupton

All brought on amazon for no more than £2 each second hand
I paid 0 as I still somehow had £9 left on amazon to spend.

On Tuesday Me and Stuart went to Milton Keynes as I needed to get a
new bra and I've gone down in three cup sizes and one back size.
So I got a new bra not pictured for £15.

So yesterday when I was in Wilkinsons and I spotted this Bra wash bag(above) for £2
I had to buy it as I had been meaning to buy one for ages.
My bras have in the passed got the wires stuck in the washing machine so now
not only are my bra's safe but I will no longer risk the washing machine getting broken.

Last of all is my favourite purchase this lovely bird ornament
from BHS, £3.

I really love the pattern on the sides of it.
They also do one with a different pattern for the same price and
larger versions for £5.
I would have got them all if I had the money but I chose to
be good and just buy the one.

What do you think of my purchases?

Recent Purchases: Birthday Spending edition

Hey, right so I am back and thought I would share with you
what I decided to get with my birthday money/vouchers.

1. This is not a book by Keri Smith
2. Wreck this journal by Keri Smith
I decided to buy this two books after hearing a lot about them recently
in hope to be more creative.
3. Thrifty ways for modern days
got this as am need in some ideas on being more frugal and saving the £'s
4. The Help Dvd and book
wanted these for quite awhile.
5. Thrifty living
another money saving help book
6. The Hunger Games
wanted this since I borrowed it from the library.
7. When Stuff is book
to keep me more organised and to remember birthdays and other occasions.

With my Peacocks voucher I got these cute giraffe Pjs
perfect for summer and I still have quite a bit left on the voucher too.

My sister came over this weekend with her bf and instead
of getting me a belated birthday giftcard she let me choose a few bits
so I went for another pair of Pjs in Peacocks this time the funky monkey ones.

I also chose this cute necklace in the Dorothy Perkins sale.

Do you like my purchases? What have you brought recently?

Review: Tru-Diamonds™ 1ct Solitaire Pendant

In March I got to show you the lovely Tru-Diamonds™ Trilogy ring.
This month I get to show you another of their wonderful pieces of jewellery.
You can read my review of the Trilogy ring here.

I received the lovely Solitaire pendant , £79 which contains
1ct simulated diamonds on platinum clad.
The chain is to be brought separate and costs £39-£49
depending on which chain you choose.

As you can see the pendant comes in their usual cherry wood box.
As usual with all Tru-diamonds items it is accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity and
a copy of their exclusive triple guarantee.

Just like the Trilogy ring, you are unable to tell that
this pendant is only simulated as they look so realistic.

So if your on the look out for a gift than I would recommend you  try
Tru-diamonds.

Recent Purchases: New Look

Hello all, hope your having a lovely weekend even if it has been dark, dull and raining.
I've not been able to buy much recently as money is tight so not been
able to buy anything.

However I was lucky enough to recently get a £50 New Look gift card.
New Look is my favourite store so I was thrilled to be able to buy
some new bits as having lost over 2 and half stone now a lot of my clothes
are far too big.

Any way here is the lovely bits that I chose with my gift card.

Firstly I chose this gorgeous cream floral gypsy style top, £9.99.
I really love the floral pattern which is fabulous spring time top.
This top will go great with my new leggings for a relaxed day time look.
I love gypsy style tops because they give me this hippy/boho relaxed vibe.

Secondly I got this pinky bow print top which was in the sale for £7.
I love how the material is thin as it will be great when it gets hot.
I was a little worried that it would look rather boring but I actually love it!

Rose print top, £5.99.
I really love this roses are my favourite flowers so on seeing this
top I had to nab it! I was a little worried that it would't suit me
however when I tired it on I fell in love with it and found it actually rather suits me.

White Arrow Aztec print top £5.99.
Love this top not only is it this season's must have tribal print
but also fits in with the monochrome trend too.

Black Denim Leggings, £12.99
Sorry about the bad quality of this photo but I couldn't get a better one.
I love these as they look like jeans but have the comfort of leggings.

I also got a white and gold envelope clutch which
I forgot to photograph.
I got the clutch bag  to take for when I go to hen night next Friday
and also for when I go to a wedding next month.

Have you brought anything nice recently?
