LOW CARB DIET PLAN WITH LOVEYOURSELF

Ad – Review. I was gifted 2 days of meals from LoveYourself in return for  review purposes, all thoughts are my own.

When it comes to meals I can get bored very easily. I've been finding eating very tricky since I need to be on a low carb diet due to diabetes. A new meal subscription service called LoveYourself sent me 2 days of meals to try from their low carb plan.

LoveYourself is dedicated to the health, happiness and well-being. No cooking is required, simply place in the oven or microwave to heat up and then eat delicious, nutritious and quality meals. They offer plenty of choice and menu options for dietary requirements, such as vegetarian, gluten free, keto or pescatarian. All food is prepared in a clean, sanitized facility with strict hygiene procedures in place. All food is packaged in sterile, food-grade containers, with an airtight seal to ensure its freshness and uncompromised hygiene until it is opened and enjoyed in your own home.

LoveYourself has released a new low-carb meal plan as they believe a lower-carb diet results in the most weight loss and provides the most health benefits while remaining a sustainable way of eating in the long term.

There are four calorie options to choose from - 1200, 1500, 2000 and 2500. The meals are 4 a day Breakfast, Lunch, Snack and Dinner. This meal plan is nutritionally balanced, wirh the calories counted for you, and contains at least five portions of fruit and veg per day. Please note that the full nutritional information and exact specifications for all meals and snacks are available on the labels.

Day 1
Breakfast: Quinoa protein porridge with pineapple and almonds
Lunch: Three Cheese Parmigiana
Snack: Low Carb baked cheesecake
Dinner: Tumeric, spinach and cod Dahl (forgot to photograph)

Thoughts:
The protein porridge was delicious and very filling only slightly to sweet for me. The lunch I really enjoyed and the dinner too. They had lots of flavour and kept me full. The baked cheesecake just wasn't for me but everyone has there own preferences.

Day 2
Breakfast: Chia, blueberry and banana breakfast muffin
Lunch: Cumin, lentils, Brussels and chicken
Snack: Chocolate Brownie  (not photographed)
Dinner: Cauliflower and mushroom bake with Broccoli pesto.

Thoughts:
The Breakfast muffins I really enjoyed, I was unsure about the cheese with it but actually it goes well. The lunch wasn't too bad and I loved the chocolate Brownie for a snack it was so good. Sadly I wasn't too keen on the dinner.

Final thoughts:
Overall I think the LoveYourself low carb meals are a great idea. The fact you can choose the amount of calories you have is a great option. I like that you don't have to worry about counting the calories yourself and you save time by just popping meals into the microwave and are ready in just a few minutes. I'd like to see in the future being able to choose meal options as there were a few meals I wasn't too keen on and wouldn't have personally chosen myself.
