Summer Beauty Trends for 2017

Although it is Summer even if some days weather wise you would think otherwise its still a great time to try out different make up looks. Here are some of the 2017 summer make up trends that work for me: 

Smudged eyeliner

When it comes to eyeliner I've never been that good at it so now summer is here and smudged eyeliner seems to be a trend I can relax more about how my eyeliner looks. 

Dewy complexion 

When it comes to my foundation during the summer months I like to use one that has less coverage and one that makes me have a beautiful glow. I also opt for one that has spf 15 or above. 

Sheet Masks

I do love a good face mask and recently I've been loving sheet masks which are ever growing popular. I love them more than traditional clay or gel masks as they much more easier at applying and removing. 

Some other trends are: 

Dry Face Brushing

I've yet to try this however definitely plan on giving this a try anything that makes my skin look much better is worth trying. 

Electrolysis

I've tried waxing, shaving, hair removal creams and even threading however I'm yet to try electrolysis which is becoming a popular hair removal method this summer. 

Gradual in shower tan lotion 

This innovative product allows you to gradually and easily build colour over time. I've never been one for tanning however can see it being a great idea for those that love to self tan. 

Nails

Bright colours are popular in summer months. I've never been one for nail polish however since I was a bridesmaid in May I love the idea of sitting at nail stations and getting my toes painted a lovely bright colour.

Halloween Zombie Make Up

I was sent this Fiendish Face Of Fear Kit from Asda which contains make up to make a range of Halloween looks.

The package is also a book to give you some inspiration from vampires to witches.

I've never done make up for Halloween before as when I was little me and my sister would dress

up as witches every year wearing mask. 

Also as I got older I've not really been into Halloween. 

But I think it will be more fun again when our little one is here with dressing up etc. 

This year I decided to try a simple zombie make up look using the kit. 

First of all I used the white cream make up all over my face and

then used the black make up crayon all over my eye lids and then under my eyes

before smudging it with my fingers I then used the black lipstick on my lips

The Body Shop Fijian Range

I am currently away til Wednesday in the New Forest which I have been looking forward to. 

With summer still here for a little while longer I wanted to show you some items from  the Body Shops New Fijian range. 

I was recently sent two items from the range which I love. 

The Fijian Water Lotus range have 6 different products: 

- Body Butter

- Eau De Toilette 

- Shower Gel 

- Perfume Oil 

- Body Lotion 

and 

- Fragrance mist

I was sent the Body lotion and the Eau De Toilette. 

The Eau De Toilette comes in two sizes mini 10ml (£5) and a 50ml bottle (£16).

The Body lotion comes in a 250ml bottle (£10). 

The scent is lovely and reminds me of far away holidays on the beach in the hot sunshine, ah bliss.

Escape to the island paradise of Fiji… where The body Shop  discovered a breathtakingly beautiful water lotus. Where they carefully hand-picked these flowers and created this delicate and unique scent with water lotus notes and frangipani accords for a breeze of fragrance straight from the Pacific.

I recommend using both of the products I received together to get the most out of fragrance I'm 

sure that if using the shower gel as well would make the fragrance even more long lasting.

So today is one week until we move into our new home. 

Its exciting but the idea of packing and unpacking boxes is something I dread doing.

Today I am sharing with you a brand i tried out when I first started blogging 2 years ago.

Derma V10 Body Butter

On Friday I told you about a budget stretch mark oil I have been using. 

Today I am sharing with you a body butter that I am in love with by the same 

lovely brand Derma V10. 

I first came across this body butter well over 6 years ago when I was over at my Nan's 

as it is one of her go to products for keeping your skin moisturised and smelling fab. 

When I moved to Leighton Buzzard I found that our local Wilko sold it and whenever my Nan came over she

would buy a pot or two. I also brought a pot on one occasion and loved it. 

I had actually forgotten all about this body butter as I've been trying out other brands 

for quiet awhile including The Body Shop Body Butters. 

When I was sent this item with a few other goodies I was thrilled as it will get me into using it 

again. 

The Derma V10 Body Butters are just as good as The Body Shop's ones if not better. 

The range comes in 8 wonderful different fragrances so that you can find one to suit you. 

I've found the Coconut Body Butter is thick, creamy and indulgent and glides onto your skin,

keeping you deeply moisturised, nourished and protected.

Its great applied daily after your bath or shower and smells good enough to eat.

I love that I also no longer need to wear perfume as the scent lasts all day long too. 

I am a huge fan especially as this is a great product for feeling a bit of luxury during pregnancy but saving the £s in process. 

Another great thing is the price at £1 for a 220ml pot whats not to love.

Macadamia Natural Oil products

I've recently been sent some Macadamia hair product samples which is fab 

as I do love the brand after trying them out back in 2012. 

Now that I am pregnant I am trying more than ever to take care of my hair. 

My hair which has always been fine now feels a bit more thicker recently which is

mainly down to the shampoo I am currently using (head and shoulders) 

But now I have got some Macadamia samples I'm looking forward to doing a little

pamper session and making my hair feel and smell fab. 

I would recommend using Macadamia hair oil in pregnancy to help make your locks

look and feel more soft and shiny.
