This week was an interesting one we started Monday with Blake having his flu vaccine so we kept him off Pre-School and I took him out for a Costa treat after which he loved. 

Tuesday which is for this weeks photo Blake had his first ever hair cut. It was getting a bit long and uneven and as my hairdresser was coming over I asked her if she would mind doing Blake's too. As you can see he loved having it done and was so happy sat in the chair having it done. 

The rest of the week was pretty boring apart from Friday when I had a meeting with Pre-School and speech therapist and make a plan for the next steps with helping Blake.  

Saturday my mum visited and we went out for lunch Blake loved spending time with Nanny and having plenty of cuddles.

I've been a rubbish blogger of late and have missed two weeks of living arrows. The first week I had been so busy and just hadn't taken any photos at all. The second week I came down with an awful cold and throat infection which as lasted just over 10 days. So as I didn't want to miss another week, this weeks photo is courtesy of my mother in law. 

She looked after him at the beginning of the week for us one afternoon and this photo pretty much sums up Blake at the moment. He loves to help put the washing on before sitting and watching it til it ends. I can imagine the confusion on his face when he saw both the washing machine and tumble dryer over at his Granny's and not knowing which to watch.

This week Blake has been more of himself although he still has a cough it isn't as bad thanks goodness. This week at Pre-School he has spent of the time outside which is where he is the happiest. Luckily the weather hasn't been too bad which has meant that they were able to let him be outside for the majority of the 2 hours each day. 

This weeks photo was taken on Sunday when we went to a little park and was trying to get him use to playing on his scooter. He has taken interest with the ones at Pre-School so we decided to try again with him on his one although he does keep sitting on it .

This week I didn't take many photos of Blake as he has been a bit under the weather and didn't want to constantly put the camera in his face. Unfortunately on Thursday when I picked him up from Pre-School I was told that he wasn't his usual self and advised we took him to see a Dr. We did this and was told he had a virus, he still has this awful barking cough but other than that seems a bit better now. We decided it was a good idea to have him off Pre-School on Friday and to have a relaxed weekend since he was also quite run down and sleepy. 

This weeks photo was taken before he was feeling poorly. We went out with my mother in law for a coffee (water and cheddars for Blake) one afternoon once Blake had finished Pre-School.

If you have read yesterday's post you will know that I am doing No Spend October the first day went really well where I didn't spend a penny and we went for a lovely autumnal walk to our local park. Blake loved running around in the leaves and we stopped off to play on the swings and slides before heading home via a little garden that they have at the park that I had completely forgotten about until recently. The park also has a little railway we sometimes like to visit to go on the steam trains. There was an event on as the steam trains have been running for 50 years however with tickets costing and doing no spend October we  briefly watched the trains go by instead. I love these photos of Blake taken as even though he loved having the freedom to run and explore he kept looking back to see that we were still there close by. 

Living Arrows: 39/52

Blake is now on his 3rd week of Pre-School and I have been finding that the weeks/weekends are just flying by. I also feel that I'm not spending as much time with him and doing different things as I would like. When Blake hasn't been at Pre-School most of the time has been spent playing with his new Thomas train set which he really loves. Hence why this weeks photos are of him playing with the set. 

One thing I do love about Blake's Pre-School is that they take loads of photos so that parents can see what their child/ren have been up to and I have loved seeing them as its so reassuring for me. One of my favourites from last week was him playing with leaves in the Pre-School garden. 

Living Arrows - 38/52

This past week has all been about Blake settling in at Pre-School and its gone rather well. The first day I was nervous for him but he was perfectly fine with no tears which helped as I had been feeling so anxious too. We had a few blips the rest of the week with crying when we dropped him off however he settled very quickly and he gets on really well with his key worker. 

This weeks photo was taken Sunday whilst we had cuddles on the sofa i just love these special moments together. I'm lucky in the sense that he is only doing 2 hours Monday-Friday afternoons as I can still have to spend with him. The 2 hours that he is in each day go so fast and I'm still trying to adjust to it all.

Living Arrows - 36/52

A week today will be Blake's first day of Pre-School and so I've spent this week sorting out what we need for him. He doesn't need a uniform and so I have got him some clothing that he can wear for Pre-school only which I will need to label. 

We have also sorted out things like backpacks for him and so this weeks photo is of him trying one out. He loves wearing it and I feel that it makes him look far too grown up than I am ready for. 

This week we are going to make the most of spending time with him. Although he is only going to be in Pre-School 2 hours in the afternoon Monday to Friday it still feels like such a big step for both of us as Blake has hardly left my side since he was born.

This weeks photo was taken yesterday we finally seem to have some lovely weather which meant that Blake could wear his shorts again and we got outside and enjoyed the fresh summer air. This photo was taken after dusting off Blake's scuttle bug and deciding to take it out the front for him to have a play on. We also ended up going for a little walk around the block a few times as Blake was eager. He was such a good boy holding my hand all the time and loved looking at the all the pretty flowers, bees, cars, butterfly's etc.
