Grace and Valour designs are mainly Sterling silver, in some instances we uses Silver coated with Gold or Rose Gold vermeil, semi precious stones & Swarovski Crystals

I was sent this little necklace to show you my followers.
This necklace is different from my usual style as I am a fan of dainty silver or gold pieces.
But I know the perfect person who I am going to pass this on to.
I love that it's such a statement necklace so will suit someone who loves that kind of thing.
The necklace retails at £12.99.

I was also sent a scarf from Grace and Valour's range I love the color and the cute little bird design on it.

Baltic Amber Teething Jewelry

When it comes to teething there are a huge range of products that help with the teething stage.
One of them is Baltic Amber teething jewelry, there are mixed reviews with regards to using them.
Some parents swear by them others are worried about the strangulation risks.

So why are so many parents choosing to use Baltic Amber Jewelry to relieve teething pains?
Scientific research has determined that amber worn against the body releases natural oils onto the skin that are then circulated into the bloodstream. These oils induce a calming effect and have analgesic (pain relieving), antispasmodic (eases the muscles helping relieve colic and gas), and febrifuge (fever reducing) properties.
Hence why Baltic Amber necklaces and bracelets are used to relieve teething pains.

I was recently sent an Amber necklace and bracelet to try out with Blake.
I must admit I have always been dubious about them due to worrying about strangling.
However I know quiet a few people who use or have used them on their little ones.
So I have decided to give them a go.

I have chosen to use the necklace more than the bracelet mainly due to the bracelet being too loose on Blake and falling off.
Due to me being a worrier and for Blake's safety I have chosen to only let him wear it with supervision.
I always make sure that I remove the necklace when Blake goes down for a nap and when he goes down for the night.

So far I've not really seen any major difference other than that he doesn't seem to dribble as much when wearing the amber necklace.
I will continue to let Blake wear it but will always make sure that its with supervision.

What are your thoughts on Amber teething necklaces and bracelets?
Do you swear by them or do you think its a hippy dippy unsafe thing to use?

My 1st Mothers Day

So yesterday was my first Mothers Day and it was such a lovely day.
As Blake sleeps through the night he was still fast asleep when I woke at 9am.
Stuart first of all made me breakfast in bed of pancakes with strawberries and nutella and a mug
of coffee in my favourite mug.
He than ran me a bath and sorted out Blake whilst I relaxed with a facemask and then
did my hair and make up.

I received two wonderful presents from Blake a fab navy pen which has lots of sparkly diamanté's.
I love writing so this was an ideal gift for me I am always jotting down notes etc on a daily basis.

My other gift is this beautiful necklace that says "You are the Mum everyone wishes they had"
I love this kind of thing and it is something I will treasure forever.

I also of course received a lovely Mothers Day card from Blake which I will be keeping forever.
I just had to take a photo of it next to our block calendar to remember the date always.

We then popped out to town to a little cafe called Cookies which we have never been in before for lunch.
Its a lovely little place that does coffees and cakes and the usual lunch bits such as salads, jacket potato's,
omelettes and also main meals such as scampi, chips and peas.
As it is in such a secluded area it was nice to be able to eat our where it wasn't busy as most
places usually are on Mothers Day.

After we had enjoyed our meal we had a little browse in some of shops and I brought some storage baskets for Blake's room.

Once home Stuart let me rest and put my feet up for a bit and then I played with Blake on
while he was on  his tummy time mat.
He is now starting to get use to the mat and liking it a little bit more now that he can lift his head.

After playtime I had cuddles with Blake and read him a story before putting him down in his moses basket to sleep.

Stuart then cooked me a lovely Mothers Day dinner of Lamb shank in mint gravy, roasted vegetables and garlic mash.
This was then followed by a yummy raspberry roulade.

We had dinner rather late as we were full from our lunch so after that I had a bit of time on my new laptop, which
I brought on Saturday purposely for blogging.
I then enjoyed a hot chocolate before heading to bed.

I'd love to know how you all spent Mothers Day and what you got from your little ones
or even what you got your mum.

Merci Maman Stork Necklace

I've always been a huge fan of delicate pieces of jewelry especially necklaces.
So when Merci Maman agreed to send me one of their amazing pieces I was thrilled.
Each of Merci Maman's pieces of jewelry are truly unique as they can be hand engraved to make them
extra special. Inspired by their French roots, Merci Maman use elegant French cursive handwriting to make each piece sentimental and personal. Whether you want to record a message, a loved one's name, coordinates or meaningful dates, the possibilities are endless.

Merci Maman translates as "Thank you Mummy" Merci Maman is the celebration of the
bond between mother and child. Their jewelry is a great treat for new mums but is increasingly popular
and are loved by everyone including men and teenagers.

When my delicate looking necklace arrived it came in a gorgeous orange box sealed with
a stylish white bow adding an extra special touch.

So the necklace I was sent is the Sterling Silver Stork Necklace
The necklace is also available  gold plated and you can also choose the length of the chain.
I chose to go for the short chain which is 45cm long and retails at £69.00 the
longer chain is 80cm long and retails at £79.00

I chose not to have my necklace engraved since little one isn't here yet.
If you choose to not have your necklace engraved you are able to send it back at a later date
to have it personalised if that is what you were prefer.
The necklace can be engraved with up to 50 characters with
the circle measuring 3.5cm diameter.

What do you think of the necklace?
I think its a fab gift for an expectant mother or new mum.

I'm thinking of some jewellery shopping

You can never get enough of jewellery. So I'm thinking to buy few more pieces for my collection. I liked these pieces from Angara.com They look very elegant and clean.

The first one is a lovely stackable women's wedding band set with brilliant diamonds. I love the pink and white hues and excellent craftsmanship. I can wear this sleek band alone or stack with my wedding ring. I don’t have any rose gold jewellery, so it will be a unique piece for me.

This is also a cute stackable ring. I think I love the stackable ring trend. Well, that might be a second thought, but this piece caught my attention for its finely faceted, clean purple stone. Isn't that amethyst reminds of the Purple Beauty Berries? The sparkling diamonds make this ring very high end and sophisticated.

My final option is this emerald knot pendant. There were metal choices available but I liked it in yellow gold. I think emeralds always look beautiful with yellow metal. I've seen many infinity knot jewellery but this one looks different and unique. The emeralds are finely set and they are clearly highlighting the puffy heart in centre. Oh! This pendant comes with an 18 inch gold chain.

All the pieces are beautiful and I’ll be getting a discount of 15% with free gemstone jewellery (Promo code is GIFT15), so I'm confused which one to finalize. Can I get some help in the selection?
