Scenticles

I am so excited for this time of year on the 27th it will be our towns Christmas light switch on.
There will also be a Christmas market and other Christmassy things going on that weekend.
Christmas is coming around so fast and we need to purchase new decorations but most importantly a new tree.

When it comes to choosing a Christmas tree we always go for a faux tree, to save money since it can come out of storage year after year.
We had our last tree a good few years but had to throw it out after last Christmas as it was falling apart and also I wanted us to have fiber optic one this year.

So if like us you tend to go for a faux Christmas tree but miss the smell of a real tree.
Then why not give your tree the scent of Christmas?
Scentsicles are Christmas tree ornaments that have the scent of Christmas.
The fragrance is infused into a biodegradable paper stick that naturally wicks to the surface layer by layer.
All you have to do is simply place in faux trees or real trees (if you wish), wreaths or garlands.
That way you can smell the scents of Christmas throughout the season.

Scentsicles come in five scents:

-White Winter Fur
- Two Dashes Of Cinnamon
-Christmas Time Spruce
- Snow Berry Wreath
and
- Silver Birch.

I was sent three of the different fragrances and really liked the White winter Fur one as it smelled very Christmassy almost like a real tree.
The Cinnamon one is also really lovely, I do love cinnamon this time of year.
The other one I got was Christmas time spruce but I didn't like it as I found it to be quite a strong scent and not something that I would like the smell of in my home.

Do you think you would give these a try?
I'd love to know comment below.

Jo Malone The Big Call

Jo Malone is known for her fragrance range from colognes, bath and body products to fragrances
for the home.

I have been a fan of Jo Malone fragrances for awhile and although they are out of my price
range I do try and find a few samples of her perfumes from time to time.
I am also lucky enough to own one her candles in the fragrance pomegranate Noir.

The video below "The Big Call" is about how Jo Malone started out with her fragrance range.
Her first job at 16 was in a flower shop and she loved being able to go to the market's some mornings.

She is unfortunately horribly dyslexic but she is able to take a color or moment in time and
turn it into fragrance. The flower shop was able to give her own creative library of fragrances so she formed her business by buying plastic tubs and worked in a tiny kitchen.
She sold her business due to cancer which she beat after fighting for year and after
wanted to get back into making her own fragrances but she felt so disheartened and nearly
gave up until a friend gave her a call one day.

I'll let you see the video to find out what happened but its a lovely story.

Get a Goodnight's Sleep

Recently I have been struggling to get a good nights sleep, this is mainly due to having
things wiring around in my head and feeling stressed recently.
Normally I will fall asleep pretty quickly before my husband but sometimes I don't which
then means his snoring bothers me as well.

I have tried out some products recently to see if any helped me to fall asleep and get
a good nights shut eye.

1.Deep Sleep Pillow Spray
To be fair I've never really been keen on the idea of pillow sprays but I decided
to give it ago.
I have two different pillow sprays at the moment the one pictured is by Thisworks and I have found
the scents to be relaxing but you do need more than just a pillow spray to help you drift off. but it does help
a little.

2. A lovely bubble bath /oil/bomb I find that having a bath before bed  does work wonders to help me drift
off and there has been more than one occasion where I have fallen asleep in the bath.

3. Breath Right nasal strips
These are for Stuart to wear to keep snoring at bay they do work
a little but hubby hates wearing them which is fair enough

4. Bio Ears earplugs
I hate putting these in my ears but they do mute the sound of Stuart's snoring though.

5. A hot milky drink works wonders at making me chill out and unwind before bed
I tend to go for a hot chocolate as it's my favourite hot drink.
when it comes to drinks make sure they don't contain caffeine.

What do you do to have a better nights sleep?

I have personally found these to be one of the best body care fragrances

The smell makes me think of long summer days, picnic's in the park
and trips out.

Review: Aroma-Works Products

Hi all, hope your enjoying your weekend so far.
Today me and Stuart went the canal festival which was great
fun looking around the stalls.

I have recently been sent some lovely products from Aroma-works.
Aroma-works is a luxury fragrance company based in Woodley Berkshire
(UK HQ) and New Jersey (USA HQ).
I wont go into the whole background about Aroma-works.

As you can see in the photo below all of Aroma-works products are packaged
in a lovely white box with a block colour on them to distinguish between
the different fragrances.

The different fragrance categories are as follows:
-Nurture
- Soulful
- Serenity
- Yin and Yang
- Inspire
and
- Essential Rose

I received 4 products from some of the different categories.

First of all I got the Soulful room mist, £20.00.
which is a complex and exotic scent with a blend of 7 essential oils.
Soulful combines the fruity top notes of Juniper Berry and Bergamot
and exotically heady Frankincese with warm, spicy base notes of Patchouli.
This beautifully balanced blend finishes with a creamy caramel fragrance
to give you a unique and wonderfully warm scent.

Then we have the Nurture Reed Diffuser, £35.
which is a rich and fruity scent, with a blend of 5 essential oils.
The Nurture blend combines the fruity, crisp aroma of May Chang,
the sweet, fresh scent of Roman Camomile
and the aromatic delicately woody fragrance of Sandalwood.

Then a Medium Serenity candle, £32.
A scent that calms and restores.
The Serenity blend combines the beautifully warm citrus top notes of
Lemongrass with the underlying exotic, floral fragrance of Neroli
and soft, sweet Geranium.

Last of all the small essential rose candle, £15.
A fruity and floral blend of 7 essential oils.
The Essential Rose brings together the top notes of sweet and spicy
Moroccan Rose with delicate Violet Leaf and warm, citrus Mandarin.
The earthy, rich base notes of Patchouli adds an exotic touch
to make this a wonderfully balanced blend.

I really love how once you open the products you get a whiff of
the amazing aroma of  the fragrance's.

I am really impressed with the whole range, being a candle lover
I am happy to add these to my collection as well as the reed diffuser
and the room mist.

I would 100% recommend these products for gifts or a treat for yourself.

Review: Potters Crouch Candles

Potters Crouch Candles  offer an exciting and diverse range of candles
for your enjoyment.

They are even able to make your own bespoke range of candles
for special occasions such as weddings and parties to give
an extra personal  touch to your day,
As well as memorial ones to remember that special someone.

Each candle is handmade, hand–labelled and hand–finished in their  300 year old converted
barn nestled in the heart of the English countryside in Hertfordshire.

As you can see above each of the candles have a painted
impression on the lid giving it unique touch.

They have a range of candles from fruits and flowers, charity one's,
Christmas ones and fragrances of the world.

I chose to go with two from the fragrances of the world section.
First up their most popular selling candle India.

The candle has a subtle mixture of delicate spices and heat with exotic warm
floral's.
This candle provokes an Indian paradise feel to your home.

Next up is Africa (how cute are these meerkats)
making you think off green watering holes, hot sun and  Saharan desert blooms
this is a spicy and thrilling candle that will take you away
on an African safari (or day dream at least) .

Out of both of the Candles I would say that the Africa one is my favourite by far.
