Happy New Year! It's time for me to share with you my goals for the year ahead. Setting goals for the year ahead is something I've shared on this blog near enough every year. This year I'm setting goals for myself for different areas of my life you can find out more below.

I still can't believe that it is already 2017 which is just crazy, 2016 really did fly by. There is something about the new year though that makes me feel motivated to get things done and to actually complete goals that I set myself.
So here are my goals for the year ahead:
- Sort out my finances:
I plan on setting up a direct debit so that a set amount goes out of my account each week into my savings. I also want to start spending less and nothing is set in stone but I am thinking of doing a no spend month this year and a a few no spend weekends. I also want us to start taking money out each week for our food shop so that once the money is gone its gone in hope of sticking to a budget. I also am going to be looking into more ways on saving money.
- Join in with blog linkys
This is something I have never really got around to doing and something I wish I had done sooner.
- Take photos more
Yes I take photos for blogging but I want to get more everyday photos of Blake, of me and Blake, Stuart and Blake and the 3 of us as a family.
- Grow my instagram following
This year I want to focus a lot more on Instagram for my blog
- Have more family time
I want to have more family days out this year and have a bucket list of things I'd like us to do which I'll be sharing with you soon.
- Get rid of clutter/organise
I've started already and have got rid of quite a bit of stuff which has gone to the charity shop. I also want to make sure everything has a place to go and am in the process of finding better storage and organisation solutions so that I can do this.
Since having Blake I don't read as often as I use to and I really want to get back into reading and plan to read at least one book a month.
So there you go these are my goals for 2017. I'd love to know what your goals are for the year ahead.
Happy New Year everyone! I hope you have had a lovely time celebrating with friends and family.
At the beginning of each of year I like to sit down and look back at the previous year and
reflect on how things have gone.
I also like to write up my new goals for the year ahead.
2015 wasn't the year for me with goal making and I have been looking forward to 2016
and the need for a fresh start.
I always think that having goals for the year ahead is a great motivator even if
you don't always stick to them. So without further ado here are my goals for
2016.
Save Money
I can be pretty good with my money in general but I did a lot more spending than saving in 2015.
My money went a lot on home bits in 2015 :
- New bed and mattress
- New Sofa
- New TV stand
and we have just forked out for a new hoover in the Sales.
There was also the holiday to Isle of Wight.
We will be booking to go away in 2016 but I also want to make saving a habit.
I want to start saving between £10-£20 a week if I am able to.
Meal Plan
I'm not that keen on cooking, Its definitely not a passion but I want to start meal planning
again. So that when it comes to dinner time i'm not going to be in a panic of what we are going to eat
and also this will help us to use up what we have in our cupboards, fridge and freezer hence saving money.
Be more organised
Not just with my personal life but also my blog.
I have a daily planner for personal bits to be written in
I have this very cute sprinkle of glitter one.
I also have the one in the photo above from a lovely company
The Bloggers Planner. This of course is my planner for all
things blogging.
I also want to be more organised around the home.
We have a lot of stuff and live in a small flat so its pretty tricky to know where to store most
things so being more organised is key.
I don't read as much as I use to.
My free time is mostly cleaning and tidying up when Blake is napping.
Then when goes to bed in the evening I try and get a few blog posts done
or I am on social media. I want to cut down time on social media and read more
as its something I love to do and has always been my main hobby.
More Family Days Out
I want to go more places as a family so more trips out.
I want us to go out approx once a month on a family trip
and experience more things as a family whether that's
a trip to the zoo or farm or just a walk around the lake that's nearby.
Go abroad
I've not been aboard since I was 15 which is nearly 11 years ago.
We didn't get a chance to have a honeymoon after we marred in 2012 as at the time we just couldn't afford it.
Now that we have a bit of money stashed away we can now go abroad this year rather than staying here
in the UK. We haven't fully decided where we would like to go yet but are open to ideas
if anyone has any family holiday recommendations?
What are your new year goals/resolutions if any?
2015 is here and it's time for me to set my goals for the year ahead.
The goals I am setting myself this year are again ones that I hope are achievable.
1. Start planning my meals
This will help so that we know what we will be having for dinner every day and will also help
to keep our food spending down or so I hope.
2. Try out some meals from my new recipe books.
3. Budget, budget, budget
We tend to be good at sticking to a budget most of the time anyway
but I want us to try and see if we can tweek our budget.
4. Organize our flat
I want the place to look a little more organised am not expecting the place
to be tidy not with a child around but it would be good to know where things are.
5. Sort out Blake's Nursery
I have so many ideas for Blake's Nursery so need to get
it all sorted for when the time comes for him to move in to his own room.
6. Plan Blake's Christening
We want to have Blake christened we have an idea for a date in July.
7. Loose the baby weight and some
I plan to get to my pre baby weight by October and hopefully
at target by December.
8. Take more photo's
Not just of Blake though
9. Plan my blog posts
I have some post ideas which I keep forgetting about so I need
to start jotting my ideas down.
10. Have more adventures
Holidays, days out, activities etc
