I must admit that this month there isn't as much product wise as last month. I've been saving up for the summer holidays so that we can do lots of fun stuff as possible.

As usual I'll start with the things I've loved watching this month. There are also two films I've enjoyed watching with Blake.

Why did u kill me?

An American documentary film directed and produced by Fredrick Munk. The film follows Belinda Lane as she tracks down those involved in the murder of Crystal Theobald, her daughter, using MySpace.

The Deceived

While studying at Cambridge, Ophelia falls for her married lecturer; when their affair is interrupted by a shocking and tragic death, Ophelia finds herself trapped in a world where she can no longer trust her own mind.

Believe me : the abduction of Lisa McVey

A 17-year-old girl uses reverse psychology to get her kidnapper to set her free. When she returns home, the only person who believes her story is a veteran detective who realizes she was taken by a notorious serial killer.

Run

Chloe, a teenager, is forbidden from seeing the mail and is kept in isolation. She soon starts suspecting her mother of keeping dark secrets and decides to investigate.

Greta

Frances, a young woman, is charmed by Greta, a lonely older widow, after she returns her bag. Soon enough, Greta's horrific secrets start seeping into her life.

Dragon Rider

A dragon, an orphaned boy, and a mountain spirit work together as they trek through the Himalayas in search for the Rim of Heaven.

Trollhunters : Rise of the Titans

Heroes must team up to fight the Arcane Order for control over the magic that binds them all.

2021 READING CHALLENGE | WHAT I'VE READ IN JULY

The end of July is almost here which means its time to share what I have been reading this month. I've managed to get through five books this month. One of which was non fiction.

The Recovery of Rose Gold by Stephanie Wrobel
Rose Gold Watts believed she was sick for eighteen years.Turned out her mother was a really good liar.

After five years in prison, Patty Watts is finally free. All she wants is to put old grievances behind her, reconcile with the daughter who testified against her - and care for her new infant grandson. When Rose Gold agrees to have Patty move in, it seems their relationship is truly on the mend. And she has waited such a long time for her mother to come home.

But has Patty truly forgotten their past? Is Rose Gold really able to forgive?

I absolutely loved this book I was really gripped and was easy to read and fast paced.

choosing the right font for your logo

A few weeks ago I set up a new blog for all home related content. One of the things that was an important part of setting up my new blog was designing a new logo. It's not just as simple as designing a logo that you love, there's a lot more thinking behind it. For example, font styles of a logo communicate more than just the name of a company - they also promote the style and  personality of the brand.

LITTLE MOMENTS | 30/52: MAGIC PAINTING

This week Blake broke up from school for the 6 and a half weeks summer holidays. We are really looking forward to spending time together as a family, with days out, crafts, science experiments etc.

One of the things we got out on the first day of the holidays was a magic painting set. I think they are such a great idea for mess free fun.

LITTLE MOMENTS | 29/52: MUSICAL MATS

The weather really has been beautiful recently. Which has made Blake being able to play out after school much more easier to do.  One day when his friends weren't around to play we got out in the front garden on our own instead.

BOOK TOUR | CRAB, DAB AND BLENNY

Today I'm excited to be involved in the book tour for the children's book Crab, Dab and Blenny by Peta Rainford which suitable for ages 4-8 years.

LITTLE MOMENTS | 28/52: BIG BOY BIKE

Blake has started to take an interest in his friends bikes recently. It's not something he had been bothered about before. He had a skuttle bug when he was one and then a balance bike at 2 which I've been meaning to get rid of. Blake all of a sudden has taken a real interest in the balance bike which is way too small. So yesterday we headed to a local bike shop to have a look at what they had and to get an idea of the size Blake would need.

We have been thinking that a new bike would be ideal for him to have during the summer holidays. He likes to spend alot of time outside and his friends have been riding their bikes up and down the street recently so he is wanting to be like them.

From what should have been just looking ended with us actually purchasing Blake a bike plus stabilisers. He was really excited about this bike and it was within our budget so we went ahead with the purchase. Now all that is needed is for Blake to get use to the idea of a much bigger bike.  It's going to take him time but I know it will be something that he absolutely loves. The summer holidays definitely the perfect time for him to get use to it.

6 SIMPLE WAYS TO REFRESH YOUR HOME

From time to time it's lovely to make some changes to our homes. There are many reasons for having a refresh, maybe you aren't feeling inspired anymore or it's been a while since you've done so and feels a bit outdated now. We don't always have the budget to do a big overhaul fear not as there are some simple things you can change at low or no cost.

OUR SUMMER 2021 BUCKET LIST

I honestly can't believe that the summer holidays are only a few weeks away. As much as we would love to go on holiday, it's not going to happen again this year. So instead the plan is to have days out, visit family and find fun things to do at home together. Blake is sure to also spend time outside playing with his friends as well.

I've compiled this list of ideas and decided to share with you incase you are looking for some inspiration on things to get up to as well.

LITTLE MOMENTS | 27/52: MY NEW BLOG

After debating about it for awhile I've decided to set up a new blog, At home with The Bayfords. This brand new blog will be focusing on home related content whilst I'll still be running this one for parenting and Lifestyle.

The past few days has seen me setting up this new blog which has involved not just sorting out the theme but designing a new logo, buying a new domain name and other stuff behind the scenes. I recently read a helpful post on ways to update your digital branding.

So if you are into home and garden related posts than my new blog is for you. It's going to have posts on home interiors, garden ideas, hacks, hauls and maybe the odd cleaning and organisation post.
